Formatting edits[edit]

Hi, I saw the question you asked at the Wikipedia help desk and a few people answered it. I've made some formatting changes to the article at User:DBynum Media/sandbox. Some things to note: Boldface is typically only used once in articles, usually in the lead sentence to identify the subject. Italics are used for Albums, Television series, Books, and other major works. Quotation marks are used for smaller works like CD singles, television episodes, short stories. This sort of information can be found in the Wikipedia Manual of Style. In spite of the changes I've made, in its current state, the article is not ready to go to Articles for Creation. The article is completely unsourced, and no attempt has been made to establish that the subject is notable per the criteria at WP:BAND. Before attempting to submit this article, please read WP:BAND very carefully and be sure that the article's subject, Tavion Zamari Millioune, meets at least one of these criteria. If you do not properly establish the subject's notability per those criteria, the article will be nominated for deletion. I want to stress that not everybody is notable enough to have an article at Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a social networking site, it is an encyclopedia. If you have any other questions feel free to ask at the Help Desk where other editors can help you, or you can post a message on my talk page to ask me a question directly. Information icon Hello, DBynum Media. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article User:DBynum Media/sandbox, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:00, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

April 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "DBynum Media", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be a corporate name in breach of WP:CORPNAME. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ukexpat (talk) 19:22, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
