Copyright problem icon Your addition to Urvashi (actress) has been removed, as it added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images. You must write your content in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing.

  • YouTube videos are copyrighted and not freely licensed by default, so they, and screenshots from them, cannot be uploaded to Commons. The exception is when the YouTube description page states clearly that the uploader is releasing the video under a CC license, which was not the case here. You always need to check that very carefully.
  • Even when the above is the case you also need to be sure that the uploader actually has the right to freely release the video and is not attaching a tag to a copyrighted video which they do not own the rights to (this is called license laundering)
  • If you are ever unsure about the status of a file, please ask questions either at WP:MCQ or c:COM:VPC before uploading it. Begoon 00:45, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
