Hi DaChavey09! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Drafting Starter Article I have posted to the talk page of the Identity Management Theory explaining how I believe incorporating some of the strategies implemented in Identity management would be of great use to this article.

Wikipedia 7[edit]

Moving Articles into the Main Space

I have added a little to Identity Management Theory Here is what I have written...

Identity Management Strategies[edit]

Social identity theory suggests that individuals and groups use different identity management strategies to cope with threatened identities.[1] In a study conducted in Northern Ireland five identity management strategies were tested to see the effects of the person's identity in light of other people. The five strategies included

1) Individualization
2) Social Competition
3) Change of comparison dimensions
4) Temporal Comparisons
5) Subordinate Re-categorization

I think it may be too late to start finding people to review anything that I do. And I do not believe I have given the article a comprehensive treatment.

Geetting and Giving Feedback

I have posted on the talk page of Identity Management Theory giving some feedback to how the article could be further improved.

I posted The page is coming along nicely. Might I suggest looking at really elaborate Wikipedia pages and trying to organize them accordingly. Have things just as headings and titles for various subject areas would be of great benefit to any page, especially this one that has little organization to it. Also trying to summarize more of what is being said. There are really long, well thought out paragraphs of information here. I think it would be best to try and either trim it down or separating it into categories. Other than that, I really feel like you have great information going on here.
