Editing others' Vacation notices[edit]

Hello, clearly you have been editing for a while as an IP (for example as 75.156.178.30 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)) so I won't bother with a Welcome template. I trust that because you have registered this account you won't be using IPs to edit any more? That would be great because it would make it easier to contact you as you will have this static User Talk page location.

But, please do not modify the {{Vacation}} notices editors have placed on their own User Talk pages, as you did here and here. It is not up to you to decide who is or who is not really on vacation. Thanks. Zad68 14:01, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Daman Hongren, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or click here to ask for help here on your talk page and a volunteer will visit you here shortly. Again, welcome! I really appreciate the vote of confidence, chillum. Unfortunately, I plan to visit your sight instead of our policy pages and stuff, because I find a lot of policy too dynamic compared to what is actually practiced on this machine that often seems to go nowhere fast. Follow the rules you would make for others. Daman Hongren (talk) 17:25, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Personalizing content disputes[edit]

Please do not personalize content disputes as you have been doing with Doc James. Your comments appear to be casting Doc as your enemy or adversary, but in reviewing his comments I see him focused on the content and desiring good communication. Would you please do the same, you can disagree without being disagreeable. Thanks... Zad68 18:44, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How would you know? I am guilty of playing dumb and playing the sergeant at the same time in one comment. Apparently, alternative medicine like Bitter Melon and Blueberry smoothies are not without side effects. That's a fine contrast to how I've been in the last two or three years. I should add a source of fat, like flaxseed. Then I may be able to keep it up until the Doctor blocks me himself, which would only be right if I am really off base about him being like a Bull in a China shop. I think you are talking about one argument that Doctor Heilman will eventually lose if he picks a battle with my father, who wrote six points of objection to WP:MEDRS being applied to the natural sciences, which includes Physics. I do not really know how you can feel qualified to summarize my interactions with the Doctor like that. How would you know? Daman Hongren (talk) 16:39, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for trolling, disruption or harassment. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Bbb23 (talk) 01:08, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
IP#s do not argue with all of my changes in mathematics, which is where I am most at home. Mathematics is an art where showing your work and giving examples is enough to make most points, although it sometimes demands testing on computers. I am aware that regular spelling is a political issue. According to talk page guidelines, so is WP:civility. I do not like to wade into personnel issues. Since I hav been blocked, though, I want to know who complained, because that is not clear. At the time of your block I was in the process of "Naming pmids, with three exceptions to the standard accepted, two based upon subject, and one based upon journal name." You were notified of the WP:ANI discussion concerning you on the User Talk page of the IP address you were using last, here. You participated in that discussion. Bbb23 probably blocked you after seeing that discussion and reviewing your edits. You can post an unblock request. I bet if you made an unblock request in which you recognized your edits were disruptive and explained how they were disruptive, promised to avoid Doc James and medical articles for a while, and to use normal English spelling, that unblock request would be granted. Zad68 03:01, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the vote of confidence, because statistically, it is unlikely that she will unblock me at this point. I cannot cause confusion with identity, because IP# 75.x.x.x applies to the vast majority of my editions. Although I have never seen a signature with that number that I did not write, I cannot be sure that I will not run into somebody else at Telus from Alberta (population over three million) on wikipedia. Standard spelling applies to edition on articles and user pages of people who demand it, like you, Doctor Heilman, Sepi333, and anybody I do not know, which is pretty much everybody on wikipedia. Even on article talk pages, transcription is likely to cause division, where I do not want it. Regular spelling can be pretty much restricted to my website. I just need to scan my edition window for red underlinings to fix regularizations that have become ingrained. Daman Hongren (talk) 18:01, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
