Please do not bite questioners

[edit]

Thanks for taking the time to answer questions on the reference desk. But please just answer the question without biting the questioner. A real reference desk librarian just looks up the requested information or books, without slapping the questioners face or saying "You should look up the information yourself!" You said [1] in response to "Free Medical Treatment in UK?" "There is an article about this topic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healthcare_in_the_United_Kingdom u should search for topics before asking." Please consider removing "u should search for topics before asking" from your response. Sometimes RefDesk volunteers achieve the same goal of getting questioners to search first before asking Ref Desk by phrasing their response "This is an encyclopedia. Did you read the article XXXXXXX? It seems to provide the information you seek in the section XXXXXXX#YYY. " A bit snarky but not so bitey. Thanks again for helping to answer Ref Desk questions.
