Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Dandelions! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic'Acid 21:31, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

Re : Regret[edit]

Hi Dandelions,

I've deleted the page as part of closure of the Articles for Deletion (See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Regret). Anyway, Jpgordon has already undeleted the page for you as follows :

03:27, 8 November 2005 Jpgordon restored "Regret" (6 revisions restored)

but if you have any further questions let me know. :)

List of best selling music artists[edit]

Hi,

The link you provided for Dire Straits just went to a 'page cannot be displayed'. Are you sure you've put the correct link in? Robdurbar 10:23, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I think I'd accidentally truncated the long URL. Fixed. --Dandelions 13:19, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:HeartcontainerOOTboss.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:HeartcontainerOOTboss.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ejfetters 05:27, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
