Hi, thanks for assessing this article. I'm intrigued that it merits a "C", as I'm not sure there's anything out there to be added to the article, particularly given that the foundry is only known to have existed for less than 100 years, several hundred years ago. - @Nortonius: When I assess an article, I only assess up to "C" because it would take someone who has spent more time with the article than me to make the "mostly complete and without major problems" determination of "B" class or higher. In other words, if you see me assess an article at "C", please interpret it as "class is at least a "C"—anything higher requires thoughtful review by someone else". Also, when I set out on my "bulk assessment" task back in June of 2014, I vowed to never contest an assessment after the fact, and I have stuck to this through the approximately 50 articles that editors have contested (that I have noticed) out of thousands assessed. If you feel the article warrants a "B" or "A" rating, feel free to change it. Given all that, if you're still looking for inspiration as to what content could be added for any company-related article, I'd suggest reviewing Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Companies/Guidelines#Content Guidelines. - Great, thanks for the response – that's absolutely fine, and I've no intention of contesting anything, I really was just intrigued. It was the first article of its type that I'd attempted, and at the time I didn't see an awful lot about bellfounders on WP that I wanted to emulate. I've tended to take an interest in very few articles but then work on them quite intensively, so I have no clue about assessing, beyond the criteria that are there for all to see. I'm more interested in getting an article to GA than worrying about an interim assessment, I just thought I'd ask in case you had any specific thoughts. Thanks for the tip, and keep up the good work. International Hat Company article quality assessment
DanielPenfield, thank you for taking the time to fully read and critically analyze this article in your individual review. I would appreciate your input in terms of why this article was given a C-classification instead of a B-classification, in terms of which of the following areas, in your individual review, demonstrably failed (B1 or B2):
- B1. It is suitably referenced, and all major points have appropriate inline citations.
- B2. It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain obvious omissions or inaccuracies.
- B3. It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content.
- B4. It is free from major grammatical errors.
- B5. It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams
If you could kindly provide this information, I would very much appreciate it. I've put in over 400 edits and 3 years of research into the article so I don't want to have a conflict of interest in individually grading this article myself. But I have worked really hard on it and am trying to improve the article quality the best I can within the limits of what research material remains of a 25 year defunct private company. I have even been in contact with military helmet experts, such as Peter Suciu, with researching secondary sources for the article and some of the things in the article they were not aware of themselves; so as far as criteria B2 goes, I feel that might be important to keep in mind with B2. But I feel the assessment specifics would be useful in further evaluation of the article, so thank you. (Belshay (talk) 17:59, 27 March 2016 (UTC))

The Guggenheim aims to further the goals of the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Wikipedia Asian Month, and Art+Feminism. New and experienced editors are welcome. Emilio Delgado
Your recent edit to talk:Emilio Delgado has an edit summary saying that it added a wikiproject, but it one of the results is that it dropped WikiProject Oregon. Is that intentional? —EncMstr (talk) 08:03, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
- @EncMstr: According to the article in its current form, Delgado's only connection to Oregon is that he once performed at a concert hall and a zoo there, so I assumed it was an error. - I suspect being associated with Pink Martini—a Portland, Oregon band—is the basis of the Oregon adoption. Probably Pete knows more since he added the tag in 2009.
- @EncMstr: No, it appears it's because the article was in Category:People from Ashland, Oregon back in 2009 (see [1]), but was removed from that category in 2013. I believe the "best practice" is to leave an HTML comment next to the wikiproject when the connection between the article and a wikiproject is unclear, so that's what I've done. -- DanielPenfield (talk) 06:35, 27 July 2016 (UTC)

The WikiArte (Wiki Arte y Cultura Latinoamerica) edit-a-thon is a global campaign to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Latin American arts and culture and to counter geocultural systemic bias on Wikipedia. Featuring an opening Artists' Panel at 10am, with Sol Aramendi, Sharon Lee De La Cruz, and Marisa Morán Jahn, to be moderated by Rocío Aranda-Alvarado, curator at El Museo del Barrio. The Museum of Modern Art and Fundacion Cisneros/Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros are uniting with international allies to focus on the lives and works of Latin American artists, architects and designers. With keystone events scheduled for October 22 in New York City and other cities throughout the month (Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Caracas, & others), the campaign aims to further similar goals to Art+Feminism.   Join us for a full Saturday of social Wikipedia editing at NY Academy of Sciences (drop-in any time!), during which we will create, update, and improve Wikipedia articles covering Women in science for their second annual edit-a-thon!. This event also coincides with the year-long celebration of the Academy's 200th Anniversary and a Women in Red online campaign. Beginning and experienced Wikipedia writers are both welcome, and there will be helpers on hand to assist those new to editing the encyclopedia.

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
Hello, DanielPenfield. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

On Saturday December 3, 2016, in conjunction with a global campaign, the Guggenheim will host its fifth Wikipedia edit-a-thon—or, #guggathon—to enhance Wikipedia's coverage of modern and contemporary artists from Greater China. The event will cap off Wikipedia Asian Month, an online campaign dedicated to augmenting Asian content on Wikipedia throughout November. New and experienced editors are welcome. The event will include a training session for participants who are new to Wikipedia, and Wikipedia specialists will be on hand to provide basic instruction and editing support. Editors are invited to view the exhibition Tales of Our Time following the event. The Guggenheim aims to raise awareness of the artists featured in the Tales of Our Time exhibition supported by The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Chinese Art Initiative, and build on the model of campaigns like the Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Women in Architecture, Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Guggenheim: Contemporary Art of the Middle East and North Africa, and Art+Feminism.

 You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our monthly "WikiWednesday" evening salon (7-9pm) and knowledge-sharing workshop at Babycastles gallery by 14th Street / Union Square in Manhattan. This will be the holiday party! Celebrate a December holiday with us, or in wiki-fashion, edit the calendar itself and join us to celebrate any holiday of your choice regardless of when it usually happens. Featuring special guest presentations on structure data, university library meetups, metrics and reporting, and other topics. We will also follow up on plans for recent and upcoming edit-a-thons, and other outreach activities. We welcome the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from all educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. After the main meeting, savory and sweet pies and refreshments and video games in the gallery!
