Welcome![edit]

Hello, Danim14, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Winifred Smith[edit]

Hi there. I reviewed the article you created on Winifred Smith in your sandbox, which you published here as "Ready for mainspace". Unfortunately, we already had an existing article on this person at Winifred Smith. the sources you used ('Revolvy, LLC' and the Wikipedia article on 'Winifred Smith') are not acceptable. Revolvy republishes other sources, and it was just republishing the already-existing Wikipedia article. And using Wikipedia articles as source for other Wikipedia articles is strictly forbidden. Please do add more to the Winifred Smith article if you find new sources, but please do check in future to make sure that you are not copying or duplicating existing work. Please ask if you would like some ideas for other articles to work on, and please don't be discouraged by this. Carcharoth (talk) 11:07, 11 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
