Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Mathematician into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 17:58, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am a coder in Google California and is spending some summer holiday time for wikipedia. I'm new here Sorry for that. I shall take down the procedure next time.

Speedy deletion nomination of Krunker.io[edit]

Hello, Dank YT

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Krunker.io for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Dank YT, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Raj Chandra Bose did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Largoplazo (talk) 10:05, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with Raj Chandra Bose[edit]

Hello. It's great that you're interested in contributing to Wikipedia, but unfortunately there were a number of problems with your addition to Raj Chandra Bose and I had to remove it.

  • You added it as a freestanding essay in one block in the middle of an existing article, including duplications of material that was already there.
  • You signed it with a copyright logo. Contributions to Wikipedia articles aren't signed, and their copyright is not explicitly stated in them. See WP:Copyrights, including WP:CRANDO, for information about how copyright works on Wikipedia.
  • It cited no sources. See WP:V regarding verifiability, and WP:Citing sources.
  • It wasn't entirely in encyclopedic style, including uses of the first person ("we quote") and some subjective coverage (see WP:NPOV).

It does appear that there may be encyclopedic content in your contribution that isn't already mentioned in the article. Please do feel free to integrate such material into the existing text in appropriate places, but also please identify reliable sources (see WP:RS) to cite to support them.

Let me know if you have any questions. You can reply below; this page is on my watchlist, so I'll see if you do. Or you can contact me on mine. See Help:Talk pages for information on using these talk pages. Largoplazo (talk) 10:17, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed this at the bottom of your contribution: "Written by J J O'Connor and E F Robertson". Did you copy your contribution from a paper by these people? That's a copyright violation, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. Largoplazo (talk) 10:23, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Now I see that the content you added to Harish-Chandra was copied from elsewhere, so I'm further concerned about the material you added to the Bose article. It also affects what I wrote about integrating the material into the existing article. Your contributions must be in your own words. Largoplazo (talk) 10:26, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok , thanks for the notice. I'm not contributing to Wikipedia anymore. Dank YT (talk) 08:45, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you and congratulations on your contributions Dank YT (talk) 08:46, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Dank YT! Your additions to Harish-Chandra have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 10:25, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Now I see that nearly all your contributions appear to be copyright violations. They've all been undone, and I've sent a request to have them hidden from the articles' histories. Largoplazo (talk) 14:02, 2 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
