Im looking for help in writing this article. Ercy Leka or Ercy Mirage has been one of the youngest label owners and music producers in the world. his story is fascinating. Its on the journey of house and dance music in America and how it came to be on of the biggest genres in the world.

Hi Danny, please make sure you read the guidelines on notability for musicians. You can also create an article through the articles for creation project where a reviewer will review it and give you feedback before approving it. LegoKontribsTalkM 19:35, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ercy Leka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hello, Dannygeez. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Ercy Mirage, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Ercy Mirage to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks, GAtechnical (talk) 22:23, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Danny -- in order to qualify for an article on Wikipedia a subject must be the topic of significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject (see WP:GNG). The Ercy Mirage article lacks such sources. There's just a page from an obscure website confirming that the subject works in A&R and a press release (which isn't independent). Unless you can provide some better sources I intend to nominate the article for deletion. Pburka (talk) 15:35, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We are working on putting all of the references together now. This is my first article and i am still trying to learn.

Hi Danny, Wikipedia's definition of notability may be a bit different than what you might intuit. We don't ask if a topic is important, because that's subjective, and different people will have different opinions on what constitutes importance. Instead, we set a policy (described in WP:N) that subjects are notable if they have been the subject of significant coverage in multiple, independent reliable sources. For example, we'd like to see reviews of the artist's work in popular or industry publications (e.g. The New York Times or Spin). Alternatively, for some topics, we are willing to presume that such sources exist (even if they're not provided) if the subject meets certain other criteria. For this subject, the criteria would be described in WP:MUSICBIO. Do you any of your sources meet these requirements? Pburka (talk) 15:09, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your explanation, i have already attached all reference and external links. There are articles looming around, unfortunately i have been unable to find all of them. following the WP:MUSICBIO the subject meets almost all of the requirements. Including releasing and being featured on physical and digital media. there are talks and videos on the internet. In this case, i don't find it to be notability issue, more of enough sources to cover grounds. I have reviewed other Wikipedia subjects with no external links or references whatsoever. Either way, i would like to fulfill the guidelines and make it my mission to meet the requirements. Please review and reconsider your decision on deletion. Dannygeez (talk) 16:39, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Releasing and being featured on physical and digital media" isn't mentioned in WP:MUSICBIO, nor are talks and videos on the internet. Which specific guidelines do you believe the subject satisfies? Pburka (talk) 18:02, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This article has been here for over a week now, with no evidence presented that the subject passes WP:MUSICBIO. It was previously deleted for the same reason. If it's not improved soon, I intend to renominate it. I urge you to review the guidelines and edit the article to include reliable, secondary sources demonstrating that the subject meets the guidelines. Pburka (talk) 04:25, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have reached out to artist himself to send me a presskit and more info. I am waiting. I apologize, this is my first article ever written on wikipedia, i intend to meet all guidelines and perfect it. I am new to this. Thank you! Dannygeez
A press kit is not an independent source. You need to demonstrate that independent publications, such as Rolling Stone or the Village Voice have written about this person. This was the same problem when the article was deleted last year, so you can't claim that this is your first time writing a Wikipedia article. Pburka (talk) 00:26, 7 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Your argument for notability is not accurate, nor is your argument of WP:PROMOTION reasons. I am sorry, This is your opinion or judgement. I have provided several reference points. There are articles in Wikipedia that don't have as many references as this topic. Give it a chance. It's the freedom of information. Letting people have access to the real Ercy Mirage. He is known to be very low key and off mainstream media, he has always been shrouded in mystery. This is very important information people should have access to. You cant stop it or make a judgement based off your personal opinion. Its not a crime nor does it violate Wikipedia policy. His presence is well-observed online. google! I will reach out to Wikipedia members myself and seek a second opinion since you cant get a responds out of your postings.. Dannygeez (talk)
If you wish the article to be kept, you should explain your reasoning here. Please explain, with specific citations, how the subject meets the appropriate guidelines, in this case WP:GNG or WP:MUSICBIO. Pburka (talk) 15:28, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
