I believe you are editing in good faith, you are not vandalizing, and you are honestly trying to improve the article, at least from your own perspective. That said, what you are doing now, by repetitively re-inserting the disputed information, is called "edit warring", and like "vandalism", it is another form of disruptive editing here on wikipedia. We have a rule, called WP:3RR or three-reverts, that basically says undoing the edits of other users more than 3 times in a 24 hour period is a blockable offense. At this point, it appears you have reached your limit. If you get reverted again, and you decide to re-insert the material, you will be in violation of 3RR. You may want to read WP:BRD to get an idea on how to generate discussion regarding your proposed edits. You should discuss in more detail on the article's talk page why you think your edits are an improvement, and wait for other users to respond to see if there is consensus for your proposal, or to see if there are any compromises and changes that can be made to satisfy all parties. The idea isn't to wait it out and then start reverting again. Excessive reverting (or edit warring) can still get you blocked, even if it is under the 3RR limit. What you should do is go to the talk page and discuss your proposed changes with the other editors. This is a very good practice to get into the habit of doing. Instead of edit warring, discuss your proposal, and try to raise consensus. Working with the community is the heart of wikipedia. Edit warring is in essence working against the community. Once there is consensus for your proposal (or a new compromise that everyone can agree with), then the article should be edited again. But trying to re-instate your changed before there is a consensus is disruptive. Hope this makes sense, and good luck! -Andrew c ^[talk] 20:30, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
