Recent edit on Naturalization Act of 1870 article[edit]

I wanted to let you know that your edit on the Naturalization Act of 1870 article caused the Template:Infobox U.S. legislation embedded within the article to not function properly. Specifically, renaming the fields "name" and "fullname" to " Full Name" and "Definition" respectively. Be aware that fields within templates cannot be renamed without causing the template to malfunction.

Also, the statement you added, "This act also came in to existence because of the fear of competing with Asian immigrants for jobs and economic opportunities. The act, in turn, restricted all immigrants to the United States to only Caucasian individuals and people from African descendants with the exclusion of Asians; whether they meet the above requirements or not" was not sourced.

The source you attempted to add for this statement <http://middleeastandasianimmigrants.pbworks.com/w/page/21495984/Naturalization%20Act%20of%201870> would have failed Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. Specifically subsection, "Some types of sources". Without a citation, the statement was removed.

I looked at your contribution history and can see that you are a new editor to wikipedia. Please don't be discouraged from contributing to wikipedia due to my edits. Please take some time to understand the rules that I've linked above that govern editors and possibly have your edits reviewed by someone with experience on wikipedia to ensure your edits comply with the rules. Good luck. Mitchumch (talk) 22:27, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
