Weird, I don't know. If it was a school IP or any public network, that would explain it. If you're on any kind of shared local network, like an office, campus, group house, etc - it's very possible that you're sharing the same global IP address with other people. Also, if you have an unsecured wireless connection someone could be using it, but that seems kind of farfetched... Sorry, wish I could be more help. Let me know if you need anything else though. Peace, delldot talk 14:24, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Update: my computer-savvy boyfriend says this: "broadband providers are known to switch IPs around between subscribers from time to time. usually not very frequently, though." Could that be it? delldot talk 14:26, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Must be that then, but still it seems like a weird cooincidence. You don't have a little brother, do you? Because one time this dude had his account hijacked, and it turned out it was coming from his own IP, and it was his little brother in a different part of the house. Anyway, let me know if you find out what was going on, and drop me another note if you need anything. Peace, delldot talk 18:41, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
