Taylor Swift discography, New Rules (song)

[edit]

Two things, even though I explained in my reverts: Per your addition of Fearless to the entry for "Change", we generally list the album the single was released in promotion of upon initial release, otherwise the column becomes too long. (Yes, the article for "Change" includes Fearless in its infobox, but obviously different editors have edited each page and I'm sure some would disagree with Fearless being in the infobox on the article for "Change" for this reason.) As for New Rules, CD single used to be the primary format for singles in the '90s and in any many of those cases, the practice of listing that first was commonplace and carried over for later singles. Digital methods of music consumption are now the primary, so in many instances, these are now taking precedence. As I understand it, the single for "New Rules" was only released later on as well. Please do not use the sidebar of AllMusic pages as a source for song or album genres, as it is considered unreliable per WP:ALBUMAVOID. Thank you. 183.171.182.126 (talk) 09:42, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, regarding this edit, while I know you meant well, sourcing is very important at Wikipedia, and we need to be sure that we're using quality references. We do not accept user-generated content, for instance, blog posts, forum posts, IMDb, Wikia, 45cat.com, Discogs, Rate Your Music, Last.fm, Google Play or even Wikipedia as the source of content. Information must be supported by reliable sources, namely ones that have established reputations for fact-checking and clear editorial policies. Thank you. 115.164.168.16 (talk) 15:21, 29 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I also posted that question on Village Pump Technical and I got a response there, the people think though that there’s something wrong with my settings DatBoy101 (talk) 23:21, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
