DatBot 6

Any thoughts on getting this task back and running? Theo's bot is still working fine, but we both know that it will fall over in a month or two. Is this due to you changing to python 3? If you think it's not fixable in python3 let me know - I could request running it here as I'm still on 2.7. Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:12, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

@Ronhjones: I can enable it, but I'm not sure what to do about the issue aforementioned. Dat GuyTalkContribs 16:58, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
I realise that, but it will need fixing first or any modern camera jpg is likely to get rotated. Theo use "pyexiv2" to transfer the EXIF data. I assume when you updated to Python3 that part did not work - I think (not sure - I use python 2.7) it needs "py3exiv2" to do that in Python 3. Can you repair the code to work properly again?
It ran on pyexiv2. The part that didn't work was using it on toolforge. I just found this though, so I'll try to do some stuff with that on a testwiki and see if I can fix it. Dat GuyTalkContribs 21:37, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
You can also use File:Testorientation.jpg as a test image - just keep reverting and re-trying. Without EXIF transfer it will end up as a landscape - it was taken with my DSLR and has the "Orientation Rotated 90° CW" in the EXIF. I'll delete it when it's not required (the original is on commons). Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:28, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
@Ronhjones: I've cleaned up some stuff on Labs and managed to import pyexiv. I'll hopefully get it to work soon. Dat GuyTalkContribs 21:38, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Looks fine to me - that's the full compliment of EXIF data correctly imported into the reduced image, and as the "Orientation" parameter is there, we don't have the image incorrectly rotated. Let me know when you activate it and I'll turn Theo's bot off. Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:09, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
I've scheduled it for midnight. Dat GuyTalkContribs 19:57, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
Nice to have it back. Theo's Little Bot 1 now disabled. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:43, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Bot Stalled? No edits for a few days. I'll put Theo on until sorted. Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:56, 4 February 2019 (UTC)
Ronhjones Ok, I allocated it some more memory. Should be ok to turn off TLB now. Dat GuyTalkContribs 12:21, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks - Theo did not start anyway. Looks like its old problem has kicked in - I think it runs out of temp space as it saves the file before and after, and does not delete them, maybe Theo set it for a small number of daily files, not like the number we are getting now. I see DatBot has cleared the backlog. Ronhjones  (Talk) 16:45, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

ITN recognition

On 19 February 2019, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article George Cawkwell, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:15, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Saw your edit summary. Loaded in PhotoShop - PS said it was corrupted, but loaded it anyway - there were about 3 rows of corrupted pixels at the bottom of the image. I cropped them out and reduced as normal. Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:52, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Synagogue (Bershad)

I see that you added tag: more citation needed. Could you please let me know (after checking the given sources)which relevant information has no source? Maybe you take the time to go through the full source: http://cja.huji.ac.il/browser.php?mode=set&id=16130 before you answer. I tried to use only information that I took from the stated source. Please check the external links as well.--Wanfried-Dublin (talk) 00:05, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

@Wanfried-Dublin: Hey, it was actually Mgbo120 that added the tag. It's originally called refimprove but AWB for some reason changes redirects to their destinations. In the prose, you state stuff such as 'Its outer dimensions are approximately 21 × 12m and the height to the cornice is circa 3.30m with a total height of 6m.' I can't seem to find that in the references. Dat GuyTalkContribs 00:14, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
I know the given source is fairly long. I shortened the content to give the main points. In http://cja.huji.ac.il/browser.php?mode=set&id=16131 it says: 6.2. General exterior measurements: The length of the northern façade is 21.39 m, the eastern façade is 12.15 m, the southern façade is 21.45 m, and the western façade is 11.92 m.. And:7.1.1. General measurements of the façade: The length of the eastern facade is 12.33 m. The height of the wall from the conditional zero up to the bottom of the roof is about 3.39 m. The height from the conditional zero up to the gable is about 6.08 m. All the other information about the architecture is in this source too. The only statement that has no source is at the begin, when I say the Great Synagogue does not exist any more. It is always harder to proof a non-existence then an existence, but anyhow I give a source that there existed another synagogue once. So, what more can I do?--Wanfried-Dublin (talk) 00:33, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Seems fine. Dat GuyTalkContribs 10:20, 23 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks.--Wanfried-Dublin (talk) 10:51, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

How can I add the twilight zone (2019) logo picture in wikipedia

Excuse me but I am not good at adding images in wikipedia,So I need step by step instructions on how will I add the twilight zone (2019) logo in the wikipedia article: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c7/Twilight_zone_2019_logo.jpg Belrien12 (talk) 01:05, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Belrien12: This user account is a bot. So no matter how many message you post here, it won't be replied. Consider asking at Teahouse. Or you can tell me which article it is, I will add it as long as it is under WP:MOS guidelines.
Sincerely,
Masum Rezatalk 04:37, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Last time I checked, I'm not an actual bot! @Belrien12:, see Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard. Dat GuyTalkContribs 10:20, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, I tried to go back to the version by Iggy which restored it to before all the nonsense began, but subsequent edits got in the way. When I tried to correct it both me and my laptop proved too slow to keep up with it all! Eagleash (talk) 19:47, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
