Exclusion for composite image?

I recently uploaded File:Three Little Pigs - Fuller Brush Man 1933 and 1948.png with two frames from different releases of The Three Little Pigs (film). Since it is a composite image, I scaled it to keep each frame within the non-free content guidelines of 320x240. But the final image file is more than 512px and more than 0.1 megapixels, so DatBot of course keeps resizing it.

I understand that I could upload each frame as a separate image, but I think that to ensure the proper context it's important for them to be seen together. Is there a mechanism to exclude an image from DatBot resizing, and if so, can you point me to how I would apply for one?

Thank you for all the work you do! —Tim Pierce (talk) 21:10, 26 March 2024 (UTC)

@Tim Pierce hi, yes, you can add {{Non-free no reduce}} to prevent JJMC89 Bot from tagging it for reduction. DatGuyTalkContribs 06:56, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

Email/VRTS question

Hi DatGuy, in reference to the ticket# question at WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Mxcronin, what should happen when an email is sent to paid-en-wp@wikipedia.org (or similar)? How does one get the ticket#? This was first time sending an email outside of OS or using the "email this user" function. S0091 (talk) 15:11, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

I didn't quite remember if there is an automated response that gives you the ticket #, but seems there isn't. It's available in the VRT system or in the subject when you receive a reply. DatGuyTalkContribs 15:13, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
Ahh, yes I see now. Thanks! S0091 (talk) 16:20, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

Hurricane Ida

Hi there, thanks for your help at Hurricane Ida. However, I noticed that the semi-protection you put in is significantly shorter than the previous protection which expired only a couple of weeks ago. This page has long been an LTA vandalism target and it's clear that long-term protection is needed. See the page 's protection history. Would you please consider making the semi-protection longer? Fretyr (talk) 16:08, 30 March 2024 (UTC)

There isn't a stable pattern of vandalism, but rather occasional sprees. The short protection is to dissuade them and reduce the whac-a-mole blocks. DatGuyTalkContribs 16:12, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
