Hey datgrrl137, I saw you RSVP'd to the meetup at the Sulzer Regional Library, and then removed it. If something came up for you, I totally understand, and hope you can make it to a future event. That said, I wanted to tell you that it's pretty normal to be intimidated. I felt that way before going to my first meetup, but these are really laid back events where we can chat, work on articles or other Wikimedia stuff at our own pace, and ask each other questions about how to do this or that. I have been contributing to some areas where I have knowledge and passion, but would like to understand more about the details beyond simple edits. It's definitely an arcane world to navigate.
