Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you got a not so nice note on your user page (you may not have noticed). But don't worry about it. There are some people who throw their weight around on Wikipedia and you probably did something they don't like. Don't let it intimidate you! GBYork 23:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet[edit]

The reason you were reported as a sockpuppet was because your first edit was to reinsert the exact same text that Shravak has been repeatedly inserting into the article, enough times for it to be a violation of the three revert policy. It is probably not a coincidence that you created your account and made the very same edit less than an hour after Shravak had been warned to stop. It was not right for the admin to delete the evidence page, as it has left you wondering why. However, I still think you are a sockpuppet and are using a second account to evade a valid block. If you give me any reason to, I will put back the message and recreate the evidence page. -999 (Talk) 17:09, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other user's talk pages[edit]

Please don't make accusations about me on other user's talk pages. If you have something to say to me, use my talk page. Thanks. -999 (Talk) 17:16, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No personal attacks[edit]

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. -999 (Talk) 18:19, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see disclaimer[edit]

Dattat, if you are not Shravak, then I am sorry, but now that you can see the evidence I think you can understand why I would think you were. I have only put the evidence back b/c people were harassing me about why I thought you were a sockpuppet. I put that evidence up the first time but somebody deleted it. They shouldn't have b/c it makes everybody confused and angry, which was not my intent.

Also, please see the disclaimer on my talk page. The only things that can't be erased are warning from admins. I checked the two user's pages, and they do not say they are admins.

Finally, please do not call me names (bully) or accuse me of personal attack for tagging you as a possible sockpuppet. Giving warnings for violating the 3 revert rule and/or the sockpuppet and/or personal attack rules are exempt from being considered attacks, as they are a standard part of WP operating processes.

Now, if you stop posting on my talk page, I'll stop posting on yours. OK? -999 (Talk) 19:54, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop posting on my talk page[edit]

I am now formally telling you to stay off my talk page. I will consider any further comments of the type you have been making to be harassment. Thank you. -999 (Talk) 20:05, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

999 did the same thing to me[edit]

He insulted me and then told me to stay off his talk page too. That's his thing, I guess. Just let it roll off your back like water does on a duck. You'll soon learn to take care of yourself here. Don't worry.

I think they like to intimitate newcomers. It does take away any motiviation to want to help Wikipedia though, like I had at first. Just use the place to do your own thing, and don't take seriously any of that stuff about being nice and civil. And don't respond to provocation. 999 likes to bait people. Don't fall for it. GBYork 21:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for 999's behavior, which is rude and inexcusable. "Please do not bite the newcomers" is one of our most basic rules. Please do not be discouraged by this incident, and notify me if he continues to bother you. — Dan | talk 21:10, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I should, however, warn you against sockpuppetry. If you are operating multiple usernames (GBYork or Matisse, for instance), please be familiar with the relevant policy, and be advised that you risk being blocked if you misuse your editing privileges. Regards — Dan | talk 21:15, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me?[edit]

You posted above me on 999's talk page which he has now erased. Dan posted below me, telling 999 that he was treating User talk:Shravak unacceptably. Now he is accusing me of being a sockpuppet of User talk:Shravak. He put a template on my user page and says he will have me blocked if I do anything he doesn't want. He writes on my talk page but says he will have me blocked if I write on his. What should I do? Dattat 20:31, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just follow the rules as best as you can and there's nothing 999 can do. He's not an administrator and no matter how much "WikiLawyering" he uses to intimidate you, he still needs to actually convince an administrator that you have broken the rules before you can get blocked. I haven't reviewed the particulars of your situation yet, but I suggest that you stop editing the articles that you are in conflict with User:999 and start the Wikipedia:Resolving disputes process by requesting mediation or arbitration via 3rd parties. I'll be away for about 8-10 hours, and I'll come back to take a further look at the situation. --  Netsnipe  ►  21:04, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You and 999 (Talk | contribs) use strong-arm tactics[edit]

You guys try to push people around and intimidate them. That's what you are trying to do to me. Dattat 17:08, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but the only interaction I've had with you that I recall was simply a single comment on Talk:Dattatreya. Why are you accusing me of "strong-arm tactics"? What precisely do you think I've done to you? —Hanuman Das 00:43, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
