File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Costa-ricans.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 02:13, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You must provide a source for each and every image contained in this collage. Stating they come from wikipedia is not sufficient and a link to the full image name is necessary so we can check them. Some of the images may in fact be from the commons so should be there if they are all freely licenced and if you let me know when you have provided all the image links, I can arrange to move it. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 02:17, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Uploading a new copy of the image is unnecessary especially as you have failed to proved the necessary source for all the 16 (not 18) images in the collage. Also you cannot claim PD-self becuse you did not make any of the images yourself, you only assembled them into a collage and there is no creative input in that process. The image will be deleted if you don't add the appropriate information. ww2censor (talk) 04:15, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just missing Claudia Poll and Maribel Guardia's images copy right. I will edit the image and remove those 2 from it.

I will change Nery Brene's picture.

First you do not need to upload a new image unless it is changed, just edit the image file by clicking on the "edit" button near the top of the page. Those links above are not links to the images but to the article the images appear in. Please just edit the image page itself and add the link to the original image that was used. BTW, wikilinks don't need the full url, just enclose the image name within put two square brackets, like this [[Oscar Arias]] and images are linked like this [[File:File:OscarArias.jpg]]. You must also indicate what copyright licence belongs for each image. The onus is on you to do this work and not expect, or hope, that others will do what should have been done when you first uploaded the image. We have enough other crap to clean up. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 22:14, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't expecting you to do it for me, I'm new at this. I just wanted to add an image to the real face of costa ricans, that's it. I didn't think using images from wikipedia itself will need all the copy-right permissions.
