Regarding your article[edit]

Even if you obtained permission from the site you copied text from, Wikipedia cannot accept text that is already copyrighted elsewhere. Also, an article being accurate and referenced (though necessary) is not enough to decide whether it is notable enough for inclusion (the notability guidelines may be found here). The general notability guideline (which may be found here) says a subject is considered notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. If it is not notable, it does not get an article, no matter how accurate it is. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:44, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The page was about to be updated (why i found it missing) with references from Reuters and Yahoo!. Davewils82 (talk) 14:58, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yahoo may not be reliable, some of the pages on there are directories or user-generated sources (which fail our reliable sourcing guidelines, which may be read here). Even still, we cannot accept any copyrighted text at all. You could try recreating the article, provided you do not use any text that appears in any other source. Is there any chance i can have the original text? There was a decent amount of historic information on the company there which could still be used. Davewils82 (talk) 15:04, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You might try asking NawlinWiki. Also, I recommend saving text for future articles in a text file on your own computer before uploading it. Ian.thomson (talk) 15:07, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, the article was moved to User:Davewils82/IntY as requested. I just moved it back to IntY and deleted it there, as it had not been improved at all in user space. – Fayenatic London 13:03, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
