I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! --HappyCamper 03:29, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi there! I moved your contributions to Canadian media which is an article title that is more similar to other existing articles on Wikipedia. If you need a hand with editing, or need someone to guide you around Wikipedia, feel free to leave a message on my talk page! Also, there are a number of places you can ask for help on Wikipedia. Check out WP:ASK for starters. See you around! --HappyCamper 03:32, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- And I've just tagged it to be merged into Media in Canada. Don't worry though, it looked like a very good start for your first contribution. I just hate it when I thought I created a new article that I latter find already exists under another name, usually a search for the title I intend to call the new page will come up with related articles and perhaps show me when it already exists. Keep goin' - Trevor MacInnis (Talk | Contribs) 03:43, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
In 2006 I made a few revision to the page on Canada.
As a Canadian resident and citizen, I felt that the paragraphs on the Canadian Provinces and Territories and their capital cities would read better if they were visually listed rather than included within the sentence. You can see my revisions here. Unfortunately, a number of the Wikipedia volunteer editors deleted ALL my edits. This experience was frustrating. Will I go back and make more edits to the Canada article in the near future?
Good luck with the new organization. Personally, I think a bit more central organization and, eventually, collaboration, on Canada would be wonderful. Would only mention that in the template on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/Members page, you didn't mentioned the various Canadian Roads projects, like Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada Roads. The members of those projects, and there are a lot of them, might be put out by that. Good luck again. Badbilltucker 16:00, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- I went ahead and created a project banner for the project, so that I could use it on some of the more important talk pages. You'll note that the project banner contains assessment possibility. If you don't feel comfortable setting the project up for assessment, let me know and I'll do what I can to help. Sorry for the presumptuousness on my part. Badbilltucker 16:38, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Proposed Gospel music groups structure
[edit]I have added a proposed Gospel music group structure to the Gospel music project page (see the Structure section on the page). Please take a look and let me know that you think. Absolon S. Kent 13:08, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Category:ChristianMedia.ca
[edit]Category:ChristianMedia.ca, which you created, has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to participate in the deletion discussion located here. – Black Falcon (Talk) 19:07, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
CfD nomination of Category:Organizations established in 2000
[edit]I have nominated Category:Organizations established in 2000 (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for merging into Category:2000 establishments (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. BencherliteTalk 10:16, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- no problem. In fact, what would be even better would be this:
- edit ChristianMedia.ca to change Category:Organizations established in 2000 to Category:Internet properties established in 2000 - this puts ChristianMedia.ca in a more specific category than just Category:2000 establishments.
- add {{db-author}} to Category:Organizations established in 2000 - this nominates the category for speedy deletion on the grounds that you're the creator and agree to it being deleted. After all, once it's empty, there's probably no need to keep the category as I doubt anybody else will use it before the end of the CFD discussion!
- The CFD discussion will then be rendered moot and everybody's happy! Hope that makes sense. Regards, BencherliteTalk 10:29, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Proposed WikiProjects merger?
[edit]I made a proposal on the Christian music portal because I noticed that several independent WikiProjects related to Christian music all had very small memberships (or at least only a few active participants). My proposal is to merge as many of the WikiProjects together as possible into one WikiProject (probably entitled Christian music WikiProject with task forces for each genre (Contemporary Christian music, Southern Gospel, urban contemporary gospel, etc.). The other option I proposed is to make Christian music as a whole a task force under the Christianity Wikiproject. Please share your thoughts on this issue on the discussion page on the Christian music portal. Absolon S. Kent (talk) 02:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I searched all over the web to find the Toronto Music Awards. I could not find an official page anywhere although many artists referred to the Awards on their web sites. I added Toronto Music Awards to Wikipedia:Requested articles/music.
Wikiproject homeschooling
[edit]Hi DavidSpencer.ca!
I noticed you were a member of WikiProject Alternative Education, and thought you might be interested in WikiProject Homeschooling. In this "WikiProject," we have been together working on the collaboration of Homeschooling-related articles. As a member, I really hope you can join, and let me know if you need any help signing up or with anything else. If you have any questions about the project you can ask at the project's talk page. Cheers! RC-0722 communicator/kills 23:52, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

ChristianMedia.ca
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article ChristianMedia.ca, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of ChristianMedia.ca. Jfire (talk) 23:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

User DavidSpencer.ca's Requests for Articles and Pages
[edit]I plan to keep track of some of the articles and pages that I have suggested be created by other Wikipedia volunteer editors. As time permits, I'll note the response of the Wikipedia volunteer community to each suggestion.
- ChristianMedia.ca and the logo I founded this organization and web site in the year 2000. We had 220 members from across Canada. ChristianMedia.ca partnered with
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:DavidSpencer.ca#ChristianMedia.ca
You can read more about the history of ChristianMedia.ca here. Response': The Wikipedia volunteer editors nominated the page for deletion. Then they deleted the page and logo. See the User_talk:DavidSpencer.ca#ChristianMedia.ca response to the entry here.
- Voyageur Canoe I plan to research and write an article on my Education Paragon wiki here.

We need an article on winter camping
[edit]Hello User:Sandstein: I noticed that you previously deleted a page about winter camping. I am requesting that you allow the page to be written by Wikipedia contributors.
There are many excellent sources of quality, referenced information on winter camping. Google search.

Welcome to WikiProject Homeschooling!
[edit]We're glad to have you join us! The project has declined recently and we are trying to revive it. We could most use your help improving the articles in our scope. The current collaboration is Alternative education, but really, working on any articles under homeschooling is good. Also, it would be very helpful if you could help advertise the project so as to draw new members. Once again, welcome! PrincessofLlyr royal court 01:21, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Jack T. Chick
[edit]Hello, DavidSpencer.ca. Here you added an image to the article Jack T. Chick, and a caption stating that one of the men shown is Jack Chick. What evidence do you have that he is Chick? I am asking because Chick is a recluse whose appearance is not generally known, and there therefore must be some doubt that it is actually him (questions were raised about this as soon as that image first appeared some years ago). The website you took the image from does not appear to be a reliable source. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 01:14, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada
[edit]Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
