I noticed that you created the article Nanobud and then attempted to list it for deletion at articles for deletion. There are a few steps to take in listing an article for deletion and those were not all completed. I have placed a tag on the article suggesting it should be deleted by author (your) recommendation. Hi MLA. Actually, the item had to be deleted due to copywrite issues from Nature magazine. The media embargo is about to be lifted and the entry can be reinstated. How can this be accomplished?

David, you can create an article at the same title as the one that was deleted when it is appropriate by going to the article title in search and creating a new article. We have a copyright FAQ that will be worth browsing as copyright prevents information in articles from being just lifted from another source and pasting into an article here there are firm guidelines about copyright. As well as copyright issues, a Wikipedia article should be verified by external sources as no original research is permissable, information is here. Assuming it is verified by external sources (and those sources are linked) the article needs to show that it is about something notable and show why whatever it is matters. Finally, there is a Manual of Style but it should be possible to copy the formatting used on other articles. This might seem like a lot but there are lots of other users who will be able to contribute to the development of an article once it has been started.

When you're on pages that aren't articles, such as talk pages and your user talk page, if you use ~~~~ after your comment your username will appear. Once you've started it, I'll be happy to help out on the wikipedia process issues though I am not familiar with the subject. MLA 17:58, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi MLA,

I'm one of the authors on the Nature article and have checked with Nature that it is OK to publish now on Wikipedia. I would now just like to put back the text I had on the NanoBud entry before I deleted it. Is that text stored somewhere there or do I have to resubmit.

You could resubmit it, or alternatively contact Kafziel who was the administrator who deleted it and will have access to the deleted history file - it was previously an article at Nanobud and capitalisation matters on wikis. MLA 21:12, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Nanobud

I've restored the article and copyedited a few small things. I also added some suggestions on the talk page.

Would you prefer to have the article located at Nanobud, as it originally was (and currently is), or at NanoBud (currently a redirect)? As the original author, the choice is yours. (It may be moved again someday if common usage changes, but for now it can go at either spot.) I can move it to NanoBud if you'd like. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
