Welcome!

Hello, Davidhater, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

However, I'm somewhat concerned that the name you've chosen for your account might not entirely meet Wikipedia's username policy which, in particular, says that usernames should not be offensive or disruptive. While your username doesn't seem blatantly inappropriate to me, it still raises at least the possibility that someone might be offended by it. (Who's this "David" you hate, anyway?)

To avoid needless difficulties in the future, you might want to consider changing your username to something less likely to cause suspicion or offense. Or, since you haven't made any significant contributions to Wikipedia using this account yet, it might be easier yet to just register a new account. Alternatively, if you feel you want to keep just this particular name, would you at least please explain your reasons for choosing it? —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 20:47, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
