Edit request[edit]

Is it possible to edit the title of the page to "SDI Presence"? The company name changed from "SDI Solutions" to "SDI Presence." As can be seen in [1]

Replace "SDI Solutions LLC (commonly referred to as SDI) [1] is a systems integrator that provides technology-based professional services", with "SDI Presence LLC (commonly referred to as SDI, and previously named SDI Solutions LLC) [2] is a mission-critical systems integrator that delivers advanced technology systems, infrastructure and managed services for organizations with public-facing, critical operations

(Under the "Present" section)

In June 2016, founder David Gupta resumed his position as owner and CEO of SDI.[3] The firm rebranded itself as SDI Presence to reflect its core business principle of being present for its clients, employees and community.

SDI employs approximately 130 people[4] and has 3 offices nationwide. In addition to its Chicago headquarters, SDI is located in North Charleston, South Carolina and Los Angeles, California.[5]

The company currently secures and operates large-scale, complex infrastructure for a national portfolio of clients in the government, transportation, education, utilities, and real estate industries, including Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport [6] and Chicago Transit Authority. [7]

Partly done Hello! I'll partly fulfilled your request:
1) page move is now done.
2) I have declined your request to edit the lead section because I believe that the current version sounds more neutral than the version you have attached.
3)'The firm rebranded itself [...] to reflect [..]' - no, this is completely promotional and should be left out.

History

System Development Integration secured significant investments by private equity firms, LLR Partners and Monument Capital Group in 2012 to drive acquisitions.[7] In 2013, System Development Integration acquired two security integrators[8] in order to expand its security technology services business into the private sector.[9][10] The firm rebranded itself SDI Solutions, with all three entities merging into a single organization.

In 2015, SDI management changes brought new leadership [8] to the firm, along with increased focus on data management including data analytics and enterprise video content management systems [9] On June 1, 2016 PGV Solutions Midwest, LLC (wholly owned by David Gupta) completed the acquisition of assets and assumption of select liabilities from SDI Solutions. Can the "key people" on the box to the right be changed to: "David Gupta (CEO), Jack Hartman (President and COO)"

David Sullivan and Brian Diver are no longer employed by SDI Presence.

Can "number of employees" be changed to "130"? There are no longer 250 employees at SDI Presence.

Not done Hello Dcluca22, can you please provide some sources for this information? st170etalk 15:20, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Question: I'm not sure if you wanted me to explicitly say that they are no longer employed in the article. I think the current way is fine; it's better to say that someone else is now CEO, rather than simply stating someone is no longer employed. Can you just clarify what you want me to do with number two? --st170etalk 15:43, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

Someone made a number of edits to the article "SDI Presence" that slander the company.

What is the best way to go about removing these?Dcluca22 (talk) 21:05, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done You need to specify which edits to undo that 'slander' the company. --st170etalk 13:47, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Accept deletion of "Also in 2013, SDI made Chicago political news due to donations made to Rahm Emmanuel by the wives of Gupta and the company's president, without disclosure of their connection to SDI; SDI was bidding on a contract for Chicago's red light camera system and for its speed camera system at the time.[3]"

Story cited was updated to reflect that donation in question was not in violation of the executive order. Based on this fact, this item is irrelevant. "Therefore, the donation is not in violation of the executive order." [1]

Not done Sorry, but I won't be removing this. This addition is fine and is sourced. It states that SDI was closely looked at - it made news due to donations [...]. --st170etalk 13:47, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: "SDI voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 protection." [1]

Delete: "In June 2016 Gupta acquired SDI and merged it with PGV Solutions"

Edit: "On May 31, 2016 PGV Solutions Midwest, LLC completed the acquisition of assets and assumption of select liabilities from SDI Solutions." Dcluca22 (talk) 22:09, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm going to address your edits now.
1)  Not done There is nothing wrong with the original statement, which is true. Chapter 11 protection is also not a well-known term outside of the US.
2)  Not done The source provided gives off the impression that the two companies came together, not that one acquired the other. If you can elaborate/provide further sources, I'll be happy to have another look at this.
