Re Editor Assistance/Requests

[edit]
thanks for the info. It would seem that you are just not well known enough. Wikipedia is a worldwide site with 1.8million articles in English alone. A band going far back as you do must be popular, but it has to be guaged on the scale of do people in Buenes Aries follow you? You did provided sources but when making decisions it often falls to the person doing it to consult google. If you get 10,000 hits your in etc.

your sources were Sources Official Site and Reference

I would also agree that the band is not yet famous enough. In a 6 months I might well be dreaming I never wrote this. Mike33 07:05, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

what bothers me is there are a million trivial things on Wikipedia and I wont bother to mention them, while we do go back We Are Back after 15 years because we got Signed from a Tribute Page, now there are dozens of things happening, and in popularity we are growing everyday, its more a human interest of Never Giving up a Dream, because even if you do, your dream may come back and find you, we Have 6200 Fans in the Short few months, I wont name names here to compare that number to many that were famous back in the 80s, its just, Im sorry that I just feel its a Reference that was worth Mentioning here, like the One Page was too much to post, its all about a Dream that came back to tell us and everyone, if you stop believing in a dream, that doesnt mean the dream, stops believing in you, Vince Ciampi ( Blue Tiger, 87 to 91, 07 to present, CD out worldwide any day )

That there are "a million trivial things on Wikipedia" is a fallacious argument. At least one of the notability criteria for music artists needs to be met to permit inclusion; those that fail go to AFD. One of those criteria is "at least two albums released on a major label". If and when BlueTiger should ever meet these guidelines, a editor without any COI may well create an article. Adrian M. H. 16:39, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the basis of the last RUDE comments made, I will end this here, I wonder if anyone bothered to at least go to the pages mentioned, but thats ok, as for the Last remark, if your going to QUOTE a rule, Finish it, and FIRST RULE I believe was, "Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion" Guess you didnt read that line, OR Conviently left it out, there isnt a Million Trival things, maybe not, to CLAIM you know there isnt, is a Fallacious argument actually, guess you read EVERY single Article, and by the way, if I do a Search of EVERY BAND on Wikipedia, want to bet lots of them dont follow AT LEAST one rule if not a whole lot more, specially if I cut that rule up, is why it states Failing is NOT, anyone who bothered do do a little search of Myspace would see that most of the LOCAL bands of today or even Tributes have a lot less Fan Base in a Lot Longer Time on Myspace, 6200 ( yes we grow every day ) in a matter of months, and the responces WORLD WIDE, I guess are just too Trival, also about our Label, Keel, Mass and a few others are on it, Guess it was nothing special ( funny, seen the note about Indi Labels that finishes that sentance you threw out there,

sorry, I found the last comment just plain Rude, sorry if the Millions of Trival Remark set you off, Not too Happy when the Rest of the World ( yea we have german, french, and even american Mags, Radio programs, internet mags and others, even our own local paper on the 12 doing and asking for the story of the band that did nothing for 15 years and got found on a Tribute Page that they didnt even do ) just forget it, we arent notible enough, I wont bother with the story any more nor replies if they are only going to be getting rude in implications

I am trying to advise and help you, which is, I believe, what you requested at EA. Yet you have responded to that by breaking WP:CIVIL and WP:AGF. If you want the help of experienced editors, you will need to treat them with more respect. If your contribution was speedied, it would have been for being a non-notable biography, which is listed among the SD criteria. If I had found it, I would probably have taken it to AFD, along with the dozen or so articles that I send there in a typical month. The label to which this band is signed is not among the major indie labels that are accepted by WP, so that criterion is not met. MySpace is irrelevant to a band's notability in respect of its inclusion or otherwise. These criteria are strict, and with good reason, because the line has to be drawn somewhere. Adrian M. H. 19:33, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

again, I said I wouldnt but, your remarks border so much on rude that I have to respond, If anyone is breaking that conflict rule it is you, why, who knows, guess it was the Million trival remark I made, Sorry to have been blunt, but the rest of my post wasnt, it was an explination, yours, once again is nothing more then bias remarks to make yourself feel superior, im happy for you, Keels new label is trival, yet you have a whole page on Keel, explaining how important he was and is in music, also, the criteria you keep mentioning STATES CLEARLY, Not rules but guidelines and NOT meant to be inclusive or exclusive, just because you make any of the list, doesnt mean you are notible and Just because you dont doesnt mean you arent, myspace is trival, the number of fans is trival, everything is, in your eyes, ok, I will say this, Im not here to argue with a bias and one sided person who wishes to misquote pages just to further their Ego, The Line isnt as Black and White as your making it to be insultive and sir, yes, you are being insultive, twice now, to the point of making outlandish claims of me now breaking a conflict rule, that is like hitting someone and claiming they started, playground close, I will again try not to respond, but I wont sit back and be attacked and insulted.

actually I wont edit what I said above, just add, I am sorry to point out that someone who continues to unfairly attack anything I say as trival, and misquote rules and guidelines, and make attacks of me breaking rules when the main rule of that rule states not to do such an action, is not helping, you can see what I stated above, but are free to make your own thoughts on the subject, I will not respond to being attacked again. so I will sit back and be attacked and insulted from this point on, contrary to above statement ( which I kept in for the reason to keep my last statement whole and intact ) in conclusion I will point out that the first two responces recieved, were at least pointing out their views, not shoving half rules down my throat for daring to write something. and accusing me of falsehoods and rule breaking, I thought it would be cool to have brought the article here, a very large mistake on my part, I wont repeat that error again.

I'm sorry to see that your talk page has erupted into World War III. Sometimes, it much better to walk away from an argument and try a new tack. Have you thought about contributing to [Wiki Music Guide]? Its still a small project only 2,500 articles, but it is totally inclusive Bob Dylan down to a 50's Junk Band that only played one gig! If you do want to open yourself up to your old and a new audience its a great way of doing it. If you want to add sample music under GFDL you can do that there too.

Kind regards and Good Luck Mike33 08:47, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thank you Mike, I wont say I wont take a look, im always doing something on line at times, not really needing to look for a New Audience, we are growing vastly due to myspace, well you have a great 4th,

lol (thank you but not a great 4th as u probably will!) I have created a page for you at [Wiki Music guide Blue Tiger], I have only used the text you provided to wikipedia under GFDL and have named you as the main contributor. Please feel free to edit and correct. Again kind regards and hope to see a page on you in wikipedia when u get massive! Mike33 10:05, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

it actually looks great, just to say,

starting on the 12 we have to give interviews with local area newspapers though we are local to NH now, we have to go back to Revere to give one, then on the release, 3 other massachusetts papers local to revere, 3 other online ezines, 2 european mags, 1 URUGUAY metal music mag ( not even kidding ) 4 more online radio stations, and 2 pirate? ( if that is that word ) radio stations, our own local NH papers are after that, and unless they change their mind, the biggest Rock station for NH, MA and the area promised us Local Play at the spiderman 3 premaire they had, hope if you have had time, you have checked out the page, all this because dreams I guess hunt you down even if you yourself have stopped dreaming? I guess, well I do thank you, will put up a link on our page, a lot of people keep asking us questions I thought I would make a page here to send them too, it helps :)
