Your AFD request for Anahata Yoga[edit]

Hi. I fail to see any indication that the article promotes Anahata Yoga in a way that qualifies it as spam. Please see the criteria in the template: "Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion."

If you actually think this article is spam, please quote the specific passage or passages that you believe are promoting this practice inappropriately. Please provide this justification before deleting the article for being spam.

I see you are on a crusade to clean up the whole Yoga category of WP. Fine and good. And There is ample reason to AFD the article as Original Research, or as non-notable.

Please do your fellow editor a good turn in this case, however, by giving Anahata Yoga a few more weeks of breathing room. When I get back, I'll be better able to add citations and improve the article. --Nemonoman (talk) 16:34, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for messaging.
I completely and fully agree with you. The writing style of the article DOESN'T qualify for a spam. The article is written in a very good encyclopedic way. But this encyclopedic article does promote - by itself - the advertisement of Ana's Yoga. I had to re-read the quote "Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion."to make best sense, before putting the tag in your article. But the statement implies only when simply is applicable. This article has lots of holes as you noted (Original Research, non-notable and also advertisement). I had only put the article on deletion, since for 5 months there had been no citation, inspite of the tag since October. And why few weeks, you should be given months, considering the contributions you have done to WP. Breath and swim.. Personally speaking, I am against such articles of Yoga practices, which some commoner (like me) has invented and given his/her own name. These include Sivananda Yoga, AcroYoga, Sattva Yoga.....& lots more. And on top of that, these practices are grouped & categorized in the same practices created by great people like Patanjali or Swami Vivekanand. See discussion on Template:Yoga -- Bhuto (Talk | Contribs) 18:59, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have had a look at your user page and your contributions. I am concerned that your campaign for Yogic Purity in Wikipedia is wrong-headed. I will address this when I return from wikibreak. In the meantime, may I advise caution about deleting articles, particularly with spam-delete templates. Use AFD instead, and allow for review and discussion, or your actions might be thought to be a form of vandalism. --Nemonoman (talk) 19:17, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As you say, I will surely look into it. I myself felt that I was being too strict. I will soften my actions asap. Thank You for pointing out.

Yoga[edit]

He is right. I did not know that The Book of Secrets was written by Osho. Wikipedia is written using reliable, secondary sources. Please see WP:V and WP:RS. Mitsube (talk) 07:50, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

By mentioning the word "He", are you meaning / adressing Yworo?? In that case, I will have to undo my last edit on Yoga. -- Bhuto (Talk | Contribs) 14:59, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Mitsube (talk) 03:38, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you consider The Book of Secrets by Osho to be an unreliable source?? I still dint get you even after reading WP:V and WP:RS Bhuto (Talk | Contribs) 06:19, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PRODs[edit]

Anybody may remove a {{dated prod}} tag for any reason or no reason whatsoever. Please do not re-PROD an article, such as [Sudarshan Kriya]], if the tag has been removed. If you still believe it should be deleted, list it at WP:AFD instead. I declined the PROD and sent the article to AfD. You can find it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sudarshan Kriya. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:11, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:25, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
