The Cliff[edit]

I saw that you'd posted the Flickr links at Talk:The Cliff (training ground), so I've had a look. I'm sure it would be possible to reference the info using {{cite book}}, even without an ISBN. The info is all usable, though I have a feeling that some of it would be considered trivia, such as who the groundsman at The Cliff was in 1974. The info about the construction of the buildings, however, is article-writing gold! Cheers mate. – PeeJay 09:34, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bank Street map[edit]

Hey man, any chance you could let me know the source of that map? If it's from an Ordnance Survey map prior to 1945, then it's possible that it can be uploaded as a public domain image. Btw, how come you uploaded that image to your Flickr account "all rights reserved"? – PeeJay 13:06, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not unhappy with it, but I would have preferred it if you hadn't uploaded it over the other club badge. Btw, any chance you can let me know the actual source of the image? Is it part of the Land Registry's own records or is it from some other source? – PeeJay 21:25, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough about the logo. As you may have noticed, I've uploaded the map and I think it looks a lot better. Also, I believe that the "Bank Lane" reference is taken from a direct quote in Definitive Newton Heath, so it may have always been shown as Bank Street in maps, but I believe Bank Lane may have been its colloquial name (just a guess). – PeeJay 22:11, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just out of interest, is there any chance that your friend from HM Land Registry could get his hands on a map of the area around North Road circa 1890? – PeeJay 01:23, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, man. I was actually at the site myself back in July and I got some shots of the offices that now occupy where the old North Road stadium was. Your photos are pretty good, but I think the only one that would be of any use is the one of the "Witch's Hat" Metrolink station; however, I believe that the subject of that photo is too far away and occupies too little of the actual image for it to be included in the article. Cheers for the offer though. – PeeJay 12:41, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just had another thought: would your friend at the Land Registry be able to find out exactly when North Road changed its name to Northampton Road? That would probably be a useful addition to the article. – PeeJay 12:42, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article suggestion[edit]

Do you think Manchester United F.C. kits would be a good idea for an article? We already have the "Crest and colours" section in the club's main article, so there's a ready-made lead for the article, but I was thinking that an appraisal of all of the club's previous kits might be a good idea. I know you have experience in that field, so I wonder what you think of the idea. – PeeJay 12:19, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

MU[edit]

Have you got a page number for the reference in Shury for the reserve game edit you made? Best, Tom (talk) 19:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks mate. Tom (talk) 19:29, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for making the changes to the colours section of the MU article. I meant to do it when it passed FAC, but completely forgot, so my sincerest apologies. Regards, Tom (talk) 22:51, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
