Your username and promotional editing[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "DeliverBull", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Jack Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 14:18, 29 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changing your username and future editing[edit]

Hi Simon, thanks for your message.

  • It should be pretty easy to change your user name by clicking this link, once there you just need to enter the new username and the email address you signed up with as well as the reason for the request (i.e. changing from a company name to a name that is just for you).
  • Your previous article was deleted because it didn't show why your company was notable. This usually means providing reliable sources that are written by people outside the company. As you have a conflict of interest it is also not a great idea for you to just write such an article yourself.
  • My suggestion would be to start with a draft which means you can do some work on the article over time, and even get feedback from other editors, before you submit it to become an actual article. If you'd like some help doing that, let me know - if you create the draft, I'm happy to give you some feedback on what it would need to have it accepted as an article.
  • If you want to reply to me, you can do so here as I have added this page to my watchlist
  • Finally, when you leave a message on a talk page like you did on mine, please "sign" it by including four tildes (this symbol ~) at the end which will automatically add a timestamp, your username and a link to your talk page.
