Hello WOSO editors! A few initiatives have been started with an emphasis on making more WOSO links blue (similar to the work that WikiProject Women in Red does) and filling in the gaps within various league, team, and player, etc. articles.

If you're interested in collaborating with others to make more links blue, take a look at the initiatives listed in the box below. Sign up at the bottom of an initiative page and help grow the lists, add potential references, resources, and create the articles ... or create your own initiative.

Did you know ...

WP:GNG takes precedence over WP:NFOOTY (which only includes the players in 1 active women's league)? Often times there is enough media coverage that meets WP:GNG or other notability guidelines. For more information, see WP:WOSO#Notability and be sure to tag the new article talk page with: {{WP Women's sport|footy=yes}}

Current and upcoming seasons for top-division leagues
Current season articles needing creation

Have some new articles in mind or see some that need improvement? Add them to the Open Tasks.

Has an article you worked on been nominated for deletion? See:

Want some tips, assistance, or resources from other WOSO editors?
Leave a message on the task force talk page.

Thank you for your continued contributions to articles related to women's football / soccer (WOSO)!

Thanks for uploading the new version, but it is cut off at the bottom (I assume you got it off their Twitter account?). There is a full version on the club website here if you could possibly replace it? Cheers, Number 57 17:32, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
Done thanks for the suggestion! Delsion23 (talk) 11:56, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 18:47, 24 May 2018 (UTC)

Tharri

Regarding the revert, I do not think w:Thari is the same place. The one on Wikivoyage is in the district of Khairpur, the one on Wikipedia is in Larkana District. Also if you look at the coordiates given on Wikipedia it is not of the population size of the Wikivoyage article. --Traveler100 (talk) 07:11, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for the explanation. I'd advise to use the edit summary when reverting so the user can know why it has been done (unless it's completely obvious). Cheers, Delsion23 (talk)

Blyth A.F.C.

In the Northern League Blyth (without a wiki page) are listed as Blyth Town which is incorrect, they are two separate teams, I'm not sure how or if I'm allowed to change this, are you able to? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smithy53 (talkcontribs) 20:56, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for the question. I've asked the Football WikiProject their opinion on the matter here. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 17:35, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

It's been changed (sort of) but is still incorrect, Blyth AFC and Blyth Town are two separate teams, Blyth are in the Northern League Division 2 and Blyth Town are in the Northern Alliance Division 1. When you click on Blyth Town it redirects you to Blyth AFC. Also when you enter Blyth AFC in the search Wikipedia bar they aren't listed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smithy53 (talkcontribs) 21:50, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

I think the reason for this is that Blyth AFC (formerly called Blyth Town until 2017, hence the redirect) are considered notable as they play in a higher division and so they have an article. The new Blyth Town plays in a lower division and so aren't considered notable enough to have an article. Hope this explains the discrepancy. Cheers, Delsion23 (talk) 17:44, 25 July 2018 (UTC)
