Village Pump

Content-control software has a lot of information on Internet filters in general. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge, none of them are "accurate," though they've improved over the years. Do some research on each app, as many of them have specific biases; I recall in the early days, one software package had a very conservative slant (blocking sites about gay rights and abortion), while another had a decidedly liberal bias (blocking military-oriented websites and anti-abortion websites). They're not as blatant anymore, but you still see reports of software blocking legitimate sites (even Wikipedia itself!). — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 12:36, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Help Me Answer

{{helpme}} "m 16:08 Argosy Sioux City‎ (diff; hist) . . (+78) . . Demortes (Talk | contribs) (Adding reference) " on my Watchlist is confusing to me. What does the +78 mean?

The +78 means that the edit added 78 characters to the page.--Res2216firestar 22:30, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
