Disambiguation link notification for May 13[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1965–66 Athenian League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eastbourne F.C. (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:18, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Athenian League clubs performance comparison, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Your draft article, Draft:Bolton ST[edit]

Hello, Denebleo. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bolton ST".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 17:05, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Midland Football League seasons[edit]

Thanks for creating these articles, but no need to have "(1889)" on the end of the title – there was only one Midland League at the time and no disambiguation is required. Cheers, Number 57 22:56, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Spartan south midlands league season[edit]

Hi! i saw you added 1999-2000 season Division One. Seems like now only divisions eligible for FA Cup are considered as notable. So, lower divisions may be deleted as unnotable. Telling just to let you know and to prevent some work, that may be useless. I wouldn't delete it myself though-) Appreciate your work, cheers.Martinklavier (talk) 12:43, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A few tips[edit]

Hello Denebleo. Thanks for your creation of various Spartan League season articles. Can I offer a few tips on editing:

  • There shouldn't be a space between punctuation and the references tag
  • It's better to refer to "clubs" instead of "teams"
  • Headings should only have the first word capitalised, unless it's a proper noun

I've made these changes and a few others in this edit. Happy to answer any questions you might have. Cheers, Number 57 23:16, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Season articles[edit]

Hello Denebleo. Before you invest any more time on them, I'm sorry to say that season articles for leagues at (modern) step 7 or below are almost certainly not going to be notable enough for an article. I don't see how they can be justified for leagues where the clubs are not deemed notable.

If you really think it's worthwhile, then you could either list the tables on the league articles, or create articles like List of East Cornwall League seasons. Number 57 23:59, 28 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Denebleo

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Govvy, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, 1985–86 South Midlands League, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Govvy}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
