Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Deonner, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Checking in re: Final Project

[edit]

Hi Deonner I have noticed that you haven't made any edits towards the Work Plan or Link List. But you do have some text on your Sandbox talk page which I think is a draft of your article? (which probably should go on your Sandbox directly) Please complete your Work Plan or Link List ASAP! If you are having troubles, please let me know via email. --Theredproject (talk) 04:30, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deonner This is great progress, though I don't see a workplan or annotated bibliography, which would help you (the bibliography in particular). You have written quite a bit about the subject, which is great --> what you really need to do right now is cite each of your claims to one of the 15 WP:Reliable Sources that should be in your biblio.
Next step is to peer review one of your classmate’s articles. Like your own, these will be on their sandbox pages. You should be able to see who is assigned each article on the Assigned Articles tab, so click on their username to find their sandbox. Remember, you had a training on this, which you can rely on. Feel free to email me if you have questions. --Theredproject (talk) 23:17, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback

[edit]

Hi Deonner I just checked and your edits. This is good work, and want to offer a few pieces of guidance that you will need to follow in order to have your edits successfully posted without being reverted.

  • At times your work doesn't conform to a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Phrases like "she found her passion," "she did amazing work for Citi bank," and "was the mastermind behind the design" will be considered to opinionated, and may cause other editors to revert your work.
  • You need to add citations for every claim. I know you are working on this, per our emails re: adding citaitons.
  • You need to copyedit for grammar. For example "This was due to a 2001 survey taken of New York Presbyterian/Columbia found out that majority of first-time patients get lost trying to get to their appointment. This is for reason’s like poor signs, lack of funding for feature for the building, etc." should be "This project originated due to a 2001 New York Presbyterian/Columbia survey that showed that a majority of first-time patients got lost trying to get to their appointment. Patients got lost for reasons like poor signs, lack of funding for feature for the building, etc." -- I'm not sure what "lack of funding for feature for the building, " means here. --Theredproject (talk) 16:44, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
