Previewing edits

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again.  — TheKMantalk 18:16, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

May I recommend creating the page at Kingmaker (band) instead of at Kingmaker)? Post questions or comments on my talk page. — TheKMantalk 18:55, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi again. It looks like another user helped move the content over to the new page (with the "move" tab that's on top of each page). Just in case you haven't seen these yet, here are a few links I found very helpful when I was starting out in Wikipedia:

If you ever need any help, or ever have any questions, I'll be more than glad to help you out! Just be sure to post on my user talk page for a prompt response (most Wiki users perfer talk pages to emails). Happy editing! — TheKMantalk 00:08, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Birth dates

Hi, please provide a source for the birth date you changed on Bobby Gillespie as this link says 1964. Thanks Arniep 20:05, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering why you changed Trinidad and Tobago to Trinidad in that article. Guettarda 01:42, 30 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi Derek: I would fix this myself but I don't know how to revert. Someone made a small text change and a very odd formatting change to the Robbie Williams page, and it should be reverted to your version.--Anchoress 17:29, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi. I see that you've added a note that Russell was a flying picket in the miners' strike. Do you have a source on this as it's news to me. --Sachabrunel 15:44, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Sneaky vandalism

Please note you are now being watched very, very closely for suspicious edits across Wikipedia. Sneaky vandalism will get you banned permanently. Hedley 23:22, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Having read your e-mail, I apologise. You should note, however, that sneaky vandalism is a big problem on Wikipedia where vandals modify minor details without making a fuss. I was concerned after the volume of these minor modifications from you, especially with the birth dates, as they are generally accurate. Hedley 17:45, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

Ian McNabb Birthdate

Ian McNabb's birthdate was changed from 1962 to 1960. Can you explain your source for this one? While I think it's generally known that Ian "fudges" on his birth year, without a better source, it would be tough to argue against the 1962 date given on his web site, Martin Roach's The Right to Imagination & Madness and the AllMusic entry. Do you have a copy of his birth certificate or passport? Oswald Glinkmeyer 14:02, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

The Tams

I was surprised to see this come up on the list of new articles. Did we really not have an article on the Tams? Well thanks for setting that right! Flowerparty 02:56, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

You seem to have copied some of the article from the All Music page. Please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material such as this, so I've removed it. If you wish to add such material in future you need to rewrite it in your own words. Thanks. Flowerparty 03:07, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

The KLF

You wrote on Category talk:The KLF:

I see you are in both Staffordshire and Worcestershire, according to your home page. What do you do, straddle the border daily ?! Anyhow, I digress. Whether this is the correct forum for discussing how I came to meet Bill Drummond in 'the nick' is debatable. The fact is I worked in HMP Hull in 1995 as an adult education tutor. One of my colleagues, was a trippy hippy female, who surprisingly I got on with really well. I do not know or recall how, but she had contacts with Bill Drummond, and invited him to talk to our 'bad boys' - the Category A prisoners, about burning the £1 million, and what it was all about. It certainly made a change from the usual 'slopping out' pointless debates. Through her, I made sure I got to speak to Bill, and mumbled pathetically, how much I admired his musical work. To this day, I was not sure who was the more embarrassed ! That's a very truncated version of how we met under such bizarre circumstances, which will probably not help you at all in your Wiki work.

Keep in touch, before we both run out of colons !!!

To which I reply:
Here's an interesting article about the million quid [1].
Your name seems familiar to me. Were you on the KLF mailing list maybe?
I'll reply to the rest tommorow. Tired. --kingboyk 02:06, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey Derek. Take a look at the article list on Category talk:The KLF and revel in how many blue links we now have :-) User:Vinoir has turned up out of the mist and started some wonderful new KLF articles, and I've just turned the final link blue on the KLF navigation template by writing Brilliant (band). All is rosey in Wikipedia's land of Mu. --kingboyk 00:03, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

I have been following the general beefing up of KLF articles with my mouth agog. You're quite right, User:Vinoir has been a great asset, as has your continuing input. I hope your goal of complete blueness, and special status (or whatever it's called) is not far away. Then you won't know what to do with yourself ! Two or three thoughts. Firstly, take a look at the Julian Cope talk page. Has somebody lost a screw ?! Secondly, do you ever leave your keyboard ? I have visions of you emerging into the sunlight, spying a passing ambulance, and crying out "Make mine a 99" !
As dear old Sir Winston Churchill said - "Keep buggering on".

Hello there. I spotted that you have an insatiable taste for all things pop musical, and would like to drink from your cup of knowledge... can you recommend an accessible source for overseas chart data (especially singles, but albums data is also good)? Over at The KLF we've got kingboyk's The KLF discography nominated as a good article, and I'm a bit worried that we're going to get chinned for lack of international chart data. Many thanks for any assistance you can provide. --Vinoir 01:01, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello again. I am going away for a few days, so my reply must be brief at this stage. I too am short of immediate reference for international chart data. So, my efforts will only ever get a "must try harder" from the critics ! There is a Billboard website you could try, and at least one book from that source. Otherwise, I'll have to get back to you, after I have the chance to do more research. Incidentally, The KLF stuff is brilliant. Best wishes.
Derek R Bullamore 09:40, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
Cheers! I'll check the source. --Vinoir 17:37, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
I have to disagree with you there. Brilliant is brilliant. Sigh. You can shoot me now. --kingboyk 17:48, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
I hadn't dared to imagine such a fantastic link as the one you've just pointed me to. Thanks for remembering, and for finding such a great source. Good work. --Vinoir 18:59, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Tommy James and The Shondells

I apologize for the last warning thing there. You changed the birthplace of Mike Vale to a non-existent city, and since it appeared as though you had a history of vandalism, I jumped to a conclusion. No hard feelings, I hope.--Jnelson09 23:00, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Gary Moore

Yes it needs more work. I have wikified most of the things I could find (you can compare the newest version and the one before my edits). I updated most of the albums also but I didn't changed much of the text. You can help if you want to. Just wanted to let you now that I am recently working on the subject so... Many thanks for your replies. Firstly, I have taken your advice and created my own user page. I hope it doesn't attract a load of nutters !! Secondly, coincidentally, I saw Gary Moore in concert in Sheffield last night, supporting the legendary B.B. King.
Lastly, I will try to help you, and others, expand the Gary Moore page. I must say I am no expert either on Wikipedia or Mr Moore, but like to help out wherever I can.

Department S

Hi Derek.

Actualy I was rather surprised to find the link on the [|One-hit_wonders_in_the_UK] page had reverted to blue! - I assumed someone had just changed it back to link to the series page, so I was rather surprised to find an entry for the band!

BTW, I'm doing a sound sample of Is Vic There?, but it's a bit of an awkward one, timewise, ie., choosing what to include in a reasonably short length without 'butchering' the track! - If I can get one that 'fits' OK I'll add it to the page.

Regards,

Ian Dunster 20:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Well, thank you again in anticipation. I just loved Is Vic There? at the time - still do for that matter. If you could oblige with a sound sample, I, for one, would be grateful. I am a Wiki "novice" so affixing pictures, sound bites, etc is still way beyond me. I hope that my text on the Department S page at least finds some favour - apart from you (kind sir) that is.
Take care,
Derek R Bullamore 20:52, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Chicane

Hi again Derek. I notice that you have put in the date of birth of Nick Bracegirdle from Chicane as 1979. Are you sure that this is correct? This would mean that he had his first hit under the name Disco Citizens at 15. Do you really mean 1969?

I am not absolutely sure, of course. However, having checked my own records, 12 November 1979 is definitely not a typo on my part. It is noteworthy that the Chicane (recording artist) page quotes : "and by the age of 12 he was making music in studios and sending out demos to record labels.[2]".
In the absence of any other tangible evidence, I stand by my proclaimation. But, I am open to counter offers ! Thanks for your query. Regards,
Derek R Bullamore 00:02, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

Thompson Twins

Why did you ADD A Joe Bailey on the Thompson Twins page? It was correct before. TOM BAILEY was the singer and JOE LEEWAY was the percussionist.

My mistake. What I was trying to do was re-direct the Tom Bailey wikilink in the picture part of the page to the 'correct' Tom Bailey (it was linked incorrectly before). How I managed in the process to change his first name to Joe must be down to my version of senile dementia ?! Sorry.

One-hit wonders

I'd say that your best bet would be to ask at the Talk page of the main list-article, and at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject songs (which covers singles, I think).

As for your age — don't worry, I'll be that old soon (and you'll still be a year older...). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 09:58, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Fats Domino

You all but blanked the Talk page. I hope that was an error. -- OnPatrol 00:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

I am not too sure what I was trying to achieve ! The perils of late night wiki-ing, me thinks. Apologies all round - I see the site has now been properly reverted. Sorry again, Derek R Bullamore 18:50, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

Corrected one of your birthdates

Hi Derek,

I changed Jay Sean's year of birth (which you initially changed from 1982 to 1981) to 1979.

I was in school with him, hence I know (although all the media says otherwise).

Thought you might wanna update your database.

Thank you, and bless you. Just the sort of 'on the ground' information that always escapes the general media trawl. My database is duly enhanced. However, I do not know who you are. To comply with the Wikipedia overlord's requests, can I suggest you sign your input (four tildes - ~x4) . Then we all know the "goodies" from the "baddies".
I am in your debt, my friend !

Gary Moore

Hi Derek. The article has improved somewhat? Heh I added the picture but the copyright problem took her away. You should have taken pictures when you were on that Gary/B.B. King concert and then upload it as free (not copyrighted). If we use a copyrighted photo we would have to write a free use rationale, but the response would be "there is no need for a copyrighted photo when there is ample opportunities to procure a free image, from a living performing artist". I agree completly but I'm not in a possition to take any pictures! So if you are planning to go to a concert you know what to bring. If it's a problem there is alot of people that specifficaly take pics and upload them to wikipedia, you can ask them. For an example picture used in Nicole Kidman article was uploaded by a proffesional photographer. Bye Death2 00:24, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Death2. Whatever happened to Death 1? Did he die? Hee hee. Anyhow, the Gary Moore page is much improved thanks to your, and other's efforts. I do not possess a camera, and if I did (knowing my luck) I would probably take a picture of my left foot rather than Gary Moore! I do take your point, and feel this article would benefit from one or two 'legitimate' pictures. Perhaps someone will eventually oblige. However, I have recently added a further text input. Happy wiki-ing.

Kalin twins

Hello Derek. You asked me on my user talk page about merging the two articles for the Kalin Twins (Kalin Twins and The Kalin Twins). This sounds like a job for a 'redirect': change one of the pages so that it redirects to the other. For more information, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Redirect

Oh, I don't think it reflects badly on you at all; the only person it really reflects bad on is the original poster, and even then it could have been completely innocent. No need to be forgiven as you have done nothing wrong: you were trying to help Wikipedia by cleaning articles up, and I was trying to help by finding copyvios. I don't think you should have to actively check the copyvio status of every article you work on - I've decided that "hey, for the next few days I'm going to dedicate myself to finding copyvios." The only person whose actions need to be looked at in this case are those of User:MarcElliot . Keep up the good work of wikifying articles and I'll keep trying to find copyvios. Again, no worries. If you have any other concerns or comments about copyvios, feel free to ask me, though as I am new here I might not be able to be of all that much help. --Douglas Whitaker 16:58, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Pop Punk Revival Merge Discussion

Saw you on the Punk WikiProject list... Xsxex 22:53, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

My input is likely to be at a sub-editor level, although if I have the time, and indeed the inclination, may extend elsewhere. I am of an age (51 and rising) were I enjoyed punk rock in my heyday. What a joy. I should not tell you, but I will, that I am a radio DJ on hospital radio and every week I play 'PRB' - punk, reggae, blues - three tracks from those diverse musical genres hopelessly glued together by my totally inadequate hands. I am never sure what it dies for the patients (who probably deserve better), but it lifts me to another plane !
Best wishes, and contact me everytime - for what it is worth.

Darius Danesh

Hi thanks for adding those extra wiki links for the Darius Danesh article. I have made a couple of minor edits though for clarity & completeness, re-adding the info about Steve Lillywhite (it's needed in the career section) and also re-adding the fact his father's cancer was diagnosed as terminal (it's well documented and not a POV). --Scarlet7 00:14, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Resource assistance

Hi. I notice you possess a handsome collection of reference works pertaining to popular music. Can you help me out? I'm interesting in any and all information pertaining to the band Talk Talk that is contained in The Guinness Book Of British Hit Albums and British Hit Singles, or for that matter, any of the books within your library. (I already have The Great Rock Discography, a newer 6th edition, so if you ever need access to a newer edition drop me a line.) Thank you for your time. Punctured Bicycle 00:43, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello, fellow music lover. By way of reply, the UK hit singles listing, as shown in the Talk Talk main article, is correct. The only facts that Guinness Book of British Hit Singles can add is that the band spent a total of 73 weeks in the UK singles chart, and that "Give It Up", "It's My Life" (re-issue), and "Life's What You Make It" (re-issue) were released on the Parlophone record label, whilst all previous hits were on EMI.
The * Guinness Book of British Hit Albums - 7th Edition - ISBN 0-85112-619 is a bit more illuminating than the Wikipedia 'Talk Talk' Albums Discography. I believe that the latter should read as follows -
(But, The Very Best of and History Revisited are mentioned in the main text of the Wiki Talk Talk article).
  • Guinness Rockopedia - ISBN 0-85112-072-5 adds two or three facts. One is that EMI issued another retrospective album entitled Asides Besides (in 1998). Plus, Webb and Harris later worked with 'Bark Psychosis' (no, I haven't heard of them, either), and that Talk Talk's release from EMI followed a "rancorous courtroom divorce". The book also claims that Spirit of Eden is a "collision of Peter Green, John Coltrane, Miles David and The Velvet Underground". Also, for the trivia element, DJ Shadow, "himself no stranger to meticulous moments to misery, voted Laughing Stock among his favourites".
Almost finally, at least for the moment, and purely coincidentally, I purchased another Talk Talk retrospective CD, entitled "The Collection" fairly recently. It was released in 2000 on the Disky label. Unfortunately it is a budget issue, so the sleeve notes reveal little, expect for the track listing, plus basic authorship and copyright information.
Perhaps the various publications (as above) could be listed in a new ==References== sub-section in the Wikipedia article. I will leave this for you to decide what to include (or exclude). I hope this is of some assistance. Feel free to come back to me (but I may be Talk Talk info'd out) !! Regards, and take care.
Derek R Bullamore 09:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for the info! One question though, do the books say how many weeks each album/single spent on the charts? Punctured Bicycle 19:42, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
By way of reply, yes they do, as follows:
===Albums===
Above total of 84 weeks
===Singles===
  • "Talk Talk" (1982) : 4 weeks
  • "Today" (1982) : 13 weeks
  • "Talk Talk" (1982, reissue) : 10 weeks
  • "My Foolish Friend" (1983) : 3 weeks
  • "It's My Life" (1984) : 5 weeks
  • "Such a Shame" (1984) : 6 weeks
  • "Dum Dum Girl" (1984) : 1 week
  • "Life's What You Make It" (1986) : 9 weeks
  • "Living in Another World" (1986) : 4 weeks
  • "Give It Up" (1986) : 3 weeks
  • "It's My Life" (1990, reissue) : 9 weeks
  • "Life's What You Make It" (1990, reissue) : 6 weeks
Above total of 73 weeks
I hope this is of use. Remember, "Life's What You Make It" - sorry, could not resist it !
Derek R Bullamore 20:05, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Awesome. Just what I was looking for! Thanks a lot. Punctured Bicycle 20:36, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

The Passions 2

Hi again Derek.

Thanks for the compliment!

BTW, did you manage to listen to the sample OK? - only installing the Ogg Vorbis codecs is a bit of a pain and I was wondering if anyone else was actually listening to them.

Ian Dunster 10:46, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Just a thought - looking at your list of reference books on your user page I was thinking that you might find this useful:
  • The Official Music Master Record Catalogue 16th Edition - John Humphries (Publishing) - 1990 - ISBN 0-904520-47-1
It's what record shops used to use as a catalogue for ordering singles and albums, although they usually used the hardback version. Mine's the paperback edition and cost £12.95 from W.H. Smiths back in 1990. It's about two-inches thick and includes all albums & CDs released in the UK, including track-listings and date of release and deletion. I don't know if it's still published or what it would cost now, but it may be worth you taking a look.
Regards, Ian Dunster 10:09, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the book recommendation - if I ever win the Lottery !?!. As far as the samples are concerned - this is a general comment; not just for your fine efforts - I can not get any of the bastards to play. Mind you, my computer is steam driven, bequeathed by Noah, held together by string and has to be wound up every morning. Or, is that me ? Take care, buddy.
Derek R Bullamore 22:36, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi again Derek. The old 'steam-powered computer', eh, LOL! - if you're having trouble getting the samples to play then there's an article talk page with some info on installing the Ogg codecs that may help here: Talk:Giles Wemmbley-Hogg Goes Off.
I'm on 'steam-driven' dialup and the 'play in browser' facility doesn't work very well on a slow connection yet. You should however be able to download the files and then listen to them as described in the talk page link above.
Let me know on my talk page if you still have trouble, as the samples aren't much use if no-one can hear them and the instructions for listening to them may need improving. Regards, Ian Dunster 12:32, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Whats up? Hi, I'm trying to gather some more interest and support for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Punk music. Please check out the topics and lets get our WikiProject to function better. I've taken an interest in the Wikipedia:WikiProject hip hop and I consider that WikiProject to be better developed. Hopefully we can all work together to improve articles relating to punk. re: Taylor Dayne

I'm no huge fan either, but that stuff that was there was ridiculous. She wasn't on my watchlist before, but she is now. Typical inflated fancruft by an anon IP user. I have a feeling that won't be the last time that stupid, worthless table gets removed from the article. -- eo 20:39, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Kingmaker

You placed a disambiguation note at the top of Kingmaker, which is a disambiguation page that already includes the band, and created a second disambiguation page consisting of a pointer to the larger disambiguation page and the band. I reduced the new page to a redirect and removed the disambiguation notice, since two disambiguation pages on the same title make no sense. Robert A.West (Talk) 04:13, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi Derek, Thank you for adding the wikilinks. I see you have also removed the reference to a "huge amount" of press interest in the band's name and album cover graphics as being POV. This is not POV, these aspects did generate an unusually large amount of media coverage, quite apart from their music - not just in the music press and the redtops, but also in the broadsheets. (I can even remember an article about it in the Guardian [2]) The band's name and their conscious use of 'arty' graphics contributed considerably to the general press hysteria about them at the time, which was later cited as one of the main reasons for their downfall and eventual split. Jud 01:15, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

No trouble

Do you know how to make footnotes per WP:V and WP:CITE? Everytime you add information, just reference where you got it. I wrote KFFA yesterday and Rudy Toombs today and that is what I did. Amos Milburn is still small enough so there is hope. Look at Bessie Smith if you really want to get depressed about referencing articles.

Wikipedia wants to become reputable so referencing your sources is critical. Take a look at Fidel Castro and scroll down to References and footnotes. WP:V is Wikipdeia's offical, non-negotiable policy now. Everyone needs to chip in with the references. Let me know if you need help. Mattisse(talk) 00:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Your recent Jay-Z edit

Hello! Have a look at Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(biographies)#Pseudonyms.2C_stage_names_and_common_names for clarification about how stage names and full names should be formatted. I didn't know this myself until yesterday, when Zimbaweed rv'd a similar edit. Thanks! -- Weirdoactor 23:13, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi! I've started to add some to your Amos Milburn article and realize I am mixing it up some with what you have already written. I'll work at sorting it out and I hope you do too! Thanks! Mattisse(talk) 15:09, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

It is curious how difficult it is (for me) to find much information on him, considering all the sources I've consulted concede he was an innovator and a commerical success. Maybe it's because he apparently quit in 1953 but I can't find out why (unless you have a source for the alcoholism or ill health reason). That would explain it Mattisse(talk) 16:46, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Re your offer of a copy of the article -- yes. If it is not to difficult for you, as I'm not sure what you mean by "via this medium". (Hope the Rugby turned out the way you wanted!} Thanks! Mattisse(talk) 15:39, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
I just now added to the article using material from one of the links under External links. Tell me what you think. I put some of the material under the heading "Extra" so you can add it in where you feel it fits. Looking at what you sent, some of it could finish off "Life and Career" -- as it rather trails off and that would give it an ending. Thanks! Mattisse(talk) 17:55, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry! I'll take a look at it again -- or you could move it to where you think it fits. Mattisse(talk) 23:51, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
That looks good! It certainly takes care of the declining fortunes part. I've been beginning to undertand more about his role -- one book lumps him in with Charles Brown and Percy Mayfield. But they seem different to me. Mattisse(talk) 20:36, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

(unindent) But I have looked and looked -- I can't find enough information on those songs to write an a song article on any of them. Mattisse(talk) 20:42, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Noticed your request for pictures!

The only way I know to get pictures is over at the Wiki Commons. Apparently there are various "fair use" situtations where you can use a picture, say of an album cover, but I am not familiar enough with the copyright laws or I would go grab one from somewhere. Yes, I think the page looks good and filled out, and I'm really impressed with Milburn and his talents (which I wasn't very clear about before). Looking at the R&B hit charts, he did very well in the 1940's. Too bad I can't get any info on his songwriting, because I think he did do some. Mattisse(talk)

All Music Guide

I feel guilty in creating work for you. The majority of the 'External link' references for various pop music personnel to the All Music Guide pages, were created by me. I do not know what to do, except copy and paste the page details as they appear in the "address" box on my Microsoft Windows page. Also, why is it desirable to shorten these "URL"s - as you term them ? In addition the changes to Imagination (band) seem to have created a different font for that page. I guess your answers may be far too technical for my little brain - but I am trying my best. Do I deserve a big dunce's cap ?!

Hi Derek, don't worry about it too much. The AllMusic URLs you've copied and pasted have bits of 'how did the user get here' information embedded in them. All I'm doing is stripping that stuff off, as it makes for a neater URL, less space is used in the Wikipedia database, and possibly protects user privacy a little bit.
As an example, I'll show you what to strip off the following URL:
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE5731FDC4AAB7420C0972D41C2A671E705D242F7810C256A4CDDBD3E47C30E79AF49FE95C5D1B81FC731CA8262AD4506CCC8EE56FA90673D378CE9AC643D2E3A7B&searchlink=DAVE|CLARK|FIVE&samples=1&sql=11:ntklu3t5anxk~T0
The biggest bit is the &token=.... part. All the characters from &token= up to the next & can be removed, leaving
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&searchlink=DAVE|CLARK|FIVE&samples=1&sql=11:ntklu3t5anxk~T0
Then you can remove the &searchlink=... and &samples=... parts of the query too: they just tells AMG's server what search term you entered. This leaves
http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:ntklu3t5anxk~T0 which identifies a particular entry in AMG's database.
Sorry about changing the font size. That was a user error on my part, and I've changed it back. Hope this helps, CmdrObot 23:40, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Re; Big Joe Turner

Well, I don't know about his page. I'm having enough trouble trying to find out much about the making of the song, "Hush Honey", even though it was so popular and covered so much. He was so casual about everything. Apparently he recorded this in a radio station studio because the New Orleans recording studio for Atantic was booked up. (I'm still on the look out about more specifics about Milburn -- especially that "Chick'n Shack Boogie" or whatever it's name is.} How did you know? I haven't saved anything yet as I don't wanted deleted right off the bat! Mattisse(talk) 00:05, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

That article on Big Joe Turner is a mess because no one has been adding source references and now it's grown impossibly long. It's very hard at this point, else I would take it on. But when an article is that long, then everyone has their Original Research in there so they are invested in that rather than verifiability per WP:V. It's a shame. Paul Weller article

Hey Derek, I was on RC Patrol when I noticed an anon had blanked content from the article. I assumed it was vandalism and rvted to your version. I then realised something looked funny when I saw your edit summery "incredibly funny, droll, well written and informative clap-trap (NOT) !!!" but you had only moved the text, not deleted it [3]. I did a search of Google News and couldn't find any reference to him been killed so I deleted the stuff again. I dont know much about Paul Weller, so can you please take a look at it. I'm still not entirely sure. Is the guy really dead or not? :-) --snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 08:31, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Brotherhood of Man

Oh whoops, you're quite right. In fact, after editing it, I had a funny feeling it didn't look right but couldn't think why. I'll revert. DWaterson 20:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
