When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 18:44, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:OVOPLOGO.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OVOPLOGO.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:08, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

tugrik and mongo

[edit]

Hey, I would like you to help me in some etymologic questions. I would like to know the meening of the words төгрөг (Mongolian tugrug) and мөнгө (mongo). I found on the Internet that tugrug is something like wheel or round. The help of a native speaker would be wonderful! Thanks in advance, Timur lenk 00:58, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much having interest in mongolian monetary unit and asking me about it. The first word tugrik is official monetary unit of Mongolia. "Tugrik" the adjective, stands for round or circle thing. I suppose earlier currencies where round so they called it so. Maybe this shape made it easier to carry on everywhere, like coins.

On the other hand the "mongo" expresses money, the oral expression of tugrik. --Dermee 06:05, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I noticed that you're a native speaker of Mongolian. I thought you might be interested in the conversation ongoing at Wikipedia talk:Romanisation of Mongolian. Cheers, Nat Krause(Talk!·What have I done?) 19:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

We're still not sure what language is used in this article: Аав but we think it's either Mongolian or Kazakh. So could you please translate the article title and content (it's very short) as soon as possible?

Article title: Аав
