Thanks for pointing out that the entry on Big Mountain Ski Resort was using an outdated name. However, the way you went about creating the new article Whitefish Mountain Resort causes us a little bit of a problem. You created the page using a Wikipedia:Cut and paste move. This is not a good way to create a different name for an article, because you lose the history of the page. If you look at the history of the new article, it shows you as the only author, when really, of course, there were lots of people who contributed to that, as shown in the old article's history. We need to do a Wikipedia:Page move instead.

So I'm going to do a couple of things that, when they're done, will have the article in the right place, but with the correct history attached. Not sure if you care about all the process wonkery or not, but I just wanted to let you know first, so you know what's going on and don't think I was arguing about the name change. First, I'm going to temporarily put the article back at Big Mountain Ski Resort. Then I'll put a speedy delete tag on the new article, since you can't move a page if there's already something there. Then, once an adminstrator deletes the new name, I'll move the article to the new name. --barneca (talk) 18:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barneca --

That's fine; I'm new to editing Wikipedia articles. Thanks for your help.

Glad I could help. It's all fixed now. Welcome aboard, let me know if I can help with anything. --barneca (talk) 22:33, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Are you Donnie Clapp? I intend no ill will, I just wish to ask you some questions. Alyeska (talk) 18:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am Donnie Clapp Dhc02 (talk) 17:58, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I was interested is because it lets me know who I am talking with. Since you work for Big Mountain, you are a good source of information, and you would know up coming plans for the mountain. If you don't mind, I would like to discuss some things about the mountain with you. Alyeska (talk) 19:42, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Feel free to email me if you like - pr |at| skiwhitefish |dot| com - or we can continue here. Dhc02 (talk) 20:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Email would be the best place to conduct such a conversation. Thank you. Alyeska (talk) 21:02, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Democratic Libertarian[edit]

I've heard many people say that. Thing is, I usualy vote Democrat. A great many of the Libertarians irritate me to no end. They want to cause significant damage to the government, or are just fine allowing the states to cause damage to civil liberties just so long as the Federal government stays out. I guess I could be considered Libertarian Lite. I agree with some of their principles, but I am not fully in agreement with them. I also have a large distrust of Corporations and Big Business. Though, Montana Democrats are themselves far more conservative then the national average. So there you have it. Alyeska (talk) 21:58, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Avoiding conflict of interest[edit]

One way to avoid conflict of interest is to broaden your work on Wikipedia. Take part in other articles. This will show people you are not a single purpose account and reduce the issues behind conflict of interest. Alyeska (talk) 22:16, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
