Hello! I saw that you removed the sign for lack of sources, and I didn't understand why. Most of the article has no sources. Pallikari (talk) 17:33, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern. However, the tag doesn't say that the article has a lack of sources, it states that the article has NO sources. You can use the { {unreferenced section} } or the { {sources} } (remove spaces between brackets) tag for specific sections not citing sources. However the idea that the article as a whole doesn't cite sources is false. I hope I was able to clear up any misunderstandings! Dima Nekhoroshyi (talk) 23:23, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Claimed Incorrect Revision of Antisemitism in the Soviet Union

[edit]

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1242636419

The quote does not appear in the book, which is freely available online:

I would like to apologize for my incorrect revision of your edit. The quote appears to be fake. Your first edit appeared to be putting Joseph Stalin in a better view, as you replaced "Stalin emerged as dictator" with "Stalin was elected." Assuming that you were committing bad faith edits, I unconsciously revised your second edit as well. I did not cite The Life and Death of Stalin and I did not have anything to do with the fabrication of the quote. If you like, you can view the history of the "Antisemitism in the Soviet Union" article yourself to identify whoever made this change. It's important to treat fellow human beings with respect, even if you feel they have wronged you. For the sake of simplicity, please keep future conversations either to the talk page for Antisemitism in the Soviet Union or my personal talk page. Reverts

[edit]

Regarding your recent revert of my edit, please be careful to not restore copyvios. I explained what I was doing in the edit summary. And yes, my IP changes a lot. 107.193.101.207 (talk) 23:54, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

+1. Your edit was flagged on an automated software. 107.193.101.207 gave a valid reason for removing the material; they also gave a valid reason when they removed twenty-three external links from an article. It was unfair to call their edit "vandalism". Thank you for being so enthusiastic, but don't forget that IPs are human too, and sometimes somebody removing large sections of text from an article has a reason!
