License tagging for Image:Birdhouse Skateboard Bottom.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Birdhouse Skateboard Bottom.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

I have nominated these images for deletion as their subject is not notable enough for an encyclopedia. Thanks for contributing and I hope you understand my decision. Alex valavanis 23:42, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from ITunes Greatest Hits Pt. II . Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Please do not remove deletion tags - Alex valavanis 23:54, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove warning tags from your user talk page. Alex valavanis 23:57, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to ITunes Greatest Hits . If you continue to do so, it may be considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Please do not remove deletion tags Alex valavanis 23:59, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for contributing. Unfortunately, things are not automatically suitable for an encyclopedia just because they are real. Please see Wikipedia:Notability for details on the policy. Articles should contain an explanation for why its subject is important if it is not obvious. Also, you must not remove deletion tags from an article. Instead, follow the instructions in the message to discuss things properly. Thanks again. Alex valavanis 00:06, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article ITunes Greatest Hits Pt. III, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Thanks for uploading Image:Favorite 16 Bought CDs.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

User: Apokolypz is my old account! I can't log into it to take the stuff off, because you deleted that account! So I just deleted the stuff off of there, because, it's a pointless account. It's my account, why can't i delete it! My, old account, it got deleted, can't log in to delete the stuff on the page, so I'll do it myself, but thats not aloud, where's the problem? I Know where it is! Jesus! (And i'm not religious, I was saying Jesus, because I'm pissed!) Dislecksik 22:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I didn't realise that; there was no mention of it on that account's user page or talk page. --Geniac 04:53, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, never mind, it's fine, I just get very angry easy, well sorry about my anger. Dislecksik 05:06, 10 March 2007 (UTC) Or could you make it so, when someone goes to User" Apokolypz, it just redirects to my account? That would be nice, I'm just not sure how to do it, thanks, I would appreciate it. Dislecksik 05:08, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --Geniac 17:31, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You did not create Get Buck, I did. But some fag erased the article along iwth the rest of Buck The World's singles and you re-created it. But anyway, how do you got higher-resolution pictures of (mostly) singles from the iTunes store (in which they are pretty small)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Demonskyline7 (talkcontribs) 23:11, April 11, 2007

I don't know. Dislecksik 21:33, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Know how to get them, but its difficult to explain. I have that song on iTunes, copy that picture after i purchases it, and paste it into paint, save the picture, and then upload it, then becuase I got it from the store, I copy their URL as the link.Dislecksik 21:45, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Mariogo!.JPG[edit]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Mariogo!.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 20:39, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:XXLmagRatingXXL.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:XXLmagRatingXXL.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 15:22, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The Game Belongs To Me.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:The Game Belongs To Me.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:Cool Kids.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cool Kids.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image:Cupid's Chokehold.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Cupid's Chokehold.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 17:21, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Earl Ray[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Earl Ray, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Earl Ray is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Earl Ray, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Orphaned non-free image File:Plies Shawty.JPG[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Plies Shawty.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The article Don't Know About That has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
