Hangman Tournament[edit]

I saw that you were interested in the Hangman tournament. You said you'd would play depending on the time. Is is a certain time that you can't play? Certain dates? Days? I'd like to hear from you regarding this issue. Arrangements can be made to alleviate this issue. If you want to drop a quick note at my talk page, that'd be great. I hope to hear from you soon! If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 03:07, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S.: The schedule for the tournament looks like this, tenatively:
  • September 24: Registration ends for signed up participants. Desperate search for more participants if we are short a few, or don't have an even amount of participants.
  • September 25-September 28: General organization, cleanup, other clerical work.
  • September 29: Draw for opponents, more clerical details.
  • September 30: Messages go out to all participants indicating start of tournament.
  • October 1: Matches begin.

Be aware that these are just tenative dates, and not set in stone. In addition, most people are flexible, so a certain date won't be a problem. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 03:07, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Needless to say, I'm on here way too often ;). Anyways, you only have to make a move at hangman once every two days, so that's somewhere between 3 to 4 times per week. A minute or two for each hangman, and that amounts to about ten minutes a week, over a few days. I understand about the schoolwork too -- right now, I should be doing Calculus AB right now. But I'm doing Wikipedia instead, worrying about a Hangman tournament :P. If you do decide to sign up, that's cool. If not, no big deal. I hope to see you around the 'pedia! If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 03:52, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ditzter4. You may or may not remember signing up for the Wikipedia Hangman Tournament, but the time has finally arrived for you to start your game! You have until 09:41, 11 June 2024 (UTC) to begin your game by typing {{Wikipedia:WikiHangman Tournament/New|~~~~}} on the corresponding round page. You should also visit your match page, as you will be able to see various aspects of your match.

I would also suggest:

If you have any questions at all regarding the procedures and rules of this tournament, please feel free to contact me at my talk page. Thanks again, and good luck!

In case you are wondering why it took so long to begin this tournament, my computer was not operating correctly, and my Internet usage was limited to public computers. My opportunities to use public computers were limited, so needless to say, I didn't have a lot of time to commit to Wikipedia. So, sorry if this has caused you any inconvience. Good luck! If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka 02:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure you understand the rules of the tournament. On one page, I guess at a word that you choose, while on the other, you guess at a word that I choose. Hope this helps, ¿ςפקιДИτς! 02:36, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
