License tagging for File:Sydney PictureMontage.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sydney PictureMontage.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Vancouver Montage[edit]

The montage of Vancouver looks great. Thanks for creating it. I've been trying to get a good montage for Vancouver for quite some time and this one is really nice. Although, I have one suggestion. Do you think you can change any of the pictures, except the skyline on top, to one that includes the Lions Gate Bridge? It's an iconic part of Vancouver and I think it should be included. Again, thanks for your hard work. Nations United (talk) 18:10, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. Although, and I really hate to ask you to keep changing it, but do you think that maybe you could use the night time image of the Loins Gate Bridge instead of the day one? Just to see how it looks. The one I'm talking about is the bottom one on the Lions Gate Bridge page. It has a reflection on the water. Once again, I'm sorry for putting you into all this trouble and if you don't want to do it I absolutely understand. Thanks. Nations United (talk) 21:44, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure? Do you know which one I'm talking about. It's the one that says in it's caption something about "LED lights". To be honest, I think its looks really nice. The day time image doesn't show the Loins Gate Bride at it's best and you can't see it that well because it's far away and because it's day time. Nations United (talk) 22:35, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I'm fine with that. I don't care about the reflection. I just wanted to have a more visible and better picture of the bridge. Thanks. Nations United (talk) 22:45, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry if it bothers you. By the way, I'm trying to get a consensus to use a montage on the Sydney article. Several montages exist, but all keep getting reverted. can you help me in getting a consensus? Thanks.--Dolphin Jedi (talk) 22:46, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, but what do you exactly want me to do? I can only voice my opinion. Other than that, there's nothing else. By the way, if you can't fit the night time Loins Gate Bridge picture into the montage, you might want to consider replacing the Chinatown gate picture with it. Chinatown is not the most important icon to have so it might work out better. Nations United (talk) 22:51, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely, I'm a little busy right now, but I'll post my support in the next day or two. So, do you think my idea of replacing the Chinatown Gate with the picture of the Loins Gate Bridge is possible? I think it would look really nice. Nations United (talk) 23:04, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Umm... I didn't mean keep the day time image of the Loins Gate Bridge too but anyways, I can see why you want to keep the Chinese Gate. But if you can, please change the Loins Gate picture. If not permanently, just to see what it would look like and to see what other Wikipedians think about it. Thanks. Nations United (talk) 23:16, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. I really do appreciate everything you've done. Nations United (talk) 23:47, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Dolphin Jedi. Just wanted to ask, when are you going to upload the montage with the night time picture of the Loins Gate Bridge? Nations United (talk) 22:08, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I think it looks great! I know you were skeptical, so I want to know; what do you think? Nations United (talk) 20:03, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sydney Montage[edit]

I voiced my opinion on the Sydney montage discussion. As I said before, that's all I can do. You and the rest of that group are going to have to reach a consensus on whether to use a montage or not and on which one to use. Nations United (talk) 01:24, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sydney montage[edit]

For a sydney monatage you seemed interested in. Sorry if you feel I've now spammed your talk page.

Any of those pics would be awesome. But as has been said dont repeat pics like there is in the ones above. If something appears in one image unless its tiny don't put another picture in where it is also. i dont know about all of sydney and being inclusive because the major landmakrs are mostly in the city but i included some south and north sydney pics. Altormainstream (talk) 07:23, 14 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Made the montage.--Dolphin Jedi (talk) 03:07, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, shame it got reverted. Sorry for kind of spamming with the pics. Altormainstream (talk) 11:26, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Sade-pinkvest.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sade-pinkvest.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 03:45, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Added a cc tag.--Dolphin Jedi (talk) 21:30, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

November 2010[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Sydney. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful, then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Fair use rationale for File:Gethimtothegreek-africanchild.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Gethimtothegreek-africanchild.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:51, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Sade-pinkvest.jpg[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Sade-pinkvest.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Tabercil (talk) 15:14, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sade.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Gavia immer (talk) 02:31, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I rolled back your edit because like the other comments in rhis section it is unsourced. But if you can find a sreliable source to cite, please re-revert it. Thanks and best regards --Smerus (talk) 06:26, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

December 2010[edit]

Please do not continue to replace the Infobox image at Sydney with your montage.[1][2][3][4][5] Use of a montage was opposed by a majority of editors at Talk:Sydney/Archive 4#New Main Picture? and your continued addition of the image without consensus to do so, and in the face of clear opposition, is becoming disruptive. --AussieLegend (talk) 01:26, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

At what point will you understand that there was no agreement to use a montage in the Sydney article? I see you tried to sneak it back in again.[6] --AussieLegend (talk) 13:43, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Montages[edit]

I've been wondering if you could make a montage for Glasgow... it seems odd that a city of that size doesn't have one and I'm totally unsure of how to make one myself, you seemed like the best person to ask! -- MichiganCharms (talk) 04:53, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you tell me what program/how you make these montages? I'd love to do one myself. -- MichiganCharms (talk) 23:34, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Denmark, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Billund (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
