November 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.

See [1] and [2] for instruction on the difference between "comprise" and "compose". Please discontinue your insistence on changing this usage to an incorrect one, which could be considered both edit warring and disruptive editing.

In addition, you've been a Wikipedia user long enough to know you should be using edit summaries.

Hi. I understand that you've been reverting the word "comprised" to "composed" in the The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes article, and have not been using edit summaries. Other editors have pointed out to you that there is a difference in meaning between the two words, one of whom has provided references above that explain why the latter is the correct word, and that edit summaries are expected of editors here. If you disagree with these rationales, then please communicate this with those other editors by having a discussion on the matter on the article's talk page. Reverting articles without discussion or edit summaries is considered edit warring, and is a blockable offense. I'm assuming it is not your intention to violate Wikipedia policies, so please discuss this matter with the other editors, and if necessary, employ one of the various dispute resolution channels that Wikipedia provides, rather than reverting the article. Thank you. Feel free to contact me if I can assist you with anything else. Nightscream (talk) 16:36, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please cease reverting the article, as you did with [ these edits]. Reverting articles without discussing is edit warring, and will result in your being blocked if you persist. Please do not make that necessary. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 04:38, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

May 2013[edit]

Your recent editing history at The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. -- 98.250.7.156 (talk) 05:15, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
