This seems like it would make a good addition to the Wikipedia article and to has a lot of good information in it. You did a very good job of analysis of the works of the Ancient Roman Playwrights. One problem that I noticed was the lack of Wikipedia citation and links to other wikipedia pages. Lastly, you have a lot of scattered information, maybe you should keep it concise.

Redirected article[edit]

Hi! I've sent you an email but I wanted to leave some record of this here just in case. I've redirected your article on slavery in ancient Roman comedy because by large it could be seen as redundant to the main article on slaves in ancient Rome and because portions of it read like an academic work. For example, about two thirds of the article (not including the lead) was about the overall lives and work of the playwrights Terence and Plautus or general information about slavery in ancient Rome. Of the remaining portion, part of it was taken from the section in the article slavery in ancient Rome that dealt with Roman comedies and the other part of the content could be merged into a paragraph - not really enough to truly justify an article independent of the main article.

As a paper this would have been excellent, as you show a true interest in the material and you clearly did quite a bit of research. It's just that it didn't really fit Wikipedia's guidelines and I was concerned that it would end up getting deleted if I left it on its own. I did merge some of your content into the main article and I also redirected the article with the history intact so your professor can look over what you wrote for grading. Please don't let this discourage you! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 09:36, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
