April 2015[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Cher, but we cannot accept original research. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Rahat (Message) 04:54, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, It's a Man's World (Cher album), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! March 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Cher, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Mlpearc (open channel) 06:03, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cher sales.[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Cher. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you.

Please take note about your edits on Cher's article, because it becoming disruptive. We've already talked about her sales. Chrishonduras (Diskussion) 00:09, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The figure of 200 million records is inflated. The certifications are a range of the possible real figure that the artist sold. Yes, Cher is from 60's decade but she is not very popular in other countries like Madonna. Her most successful album is Believe and it sold around 11 million copies worldwide. She hasn't albums with certifications in the 60s and in the 70s she has only 3 Gold records, and none of them were Top 20 albums. Those sales were created by fans to overestimate her success as an artist. They put thos exagerated sales here in Wikipedia, and all the media begin to publish it as true sales. You can talk in the Talk page of Cher article, since there's a discusion there about those numbers.--88marcus (talk) 00:20, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
