[edit]Hello, I'm Utcursch. I noticed that you recently removed content from Mahto without adequately explaining why: the content is reliably sourced, and calling it "absolutely fake" is not a valid reason to remove it. If you think the cited source is not reliable, feel free to discuss it on the article's talk page or at WP:RSN. Thanks. utcursch | talk 04:03, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
- How Could you say Mahto Surname is caste like Dushad, chamar, dhobi, bhumihar, yadav,. It has only 3 castes associated that's Koery,Kushwaha,Kurmi thats it. Please remove the rest other castes. Why did you play with this community surname Which is originally published since last 1 year. How could you add those castes Dushad, chamar, dhobi, bhumihar, yadav, without a reliable sources.
- I will take your unsocial behavior and activities to Wikipedia management association. You took this personal and try to misuse the admin rights of wiki. (Redacted) If you really wanna play then play with your community surname don't try to tear the history of Mahto community. Donunder11 (talk) 20:25, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

- The content where published with reliable sources but still you are removing and adding false contents against this community as every one knows this community has no sirname such as Bhumihar, dushad, chamar, yadav, beldar. This community only holds sir name who are Koery,Kurmi and kushwaha thats it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Donunder11 (talk • contribs)
- You may have not seen the surname/title "Mahto" being used outside of your caste where you live. But the sources cited in the article (see Mahto#References) clearly state otherwise. Here are some direct quotes from the cited sources:
- The Civil Disobedience Movement in Bihar, 1930-1934, page 94: "the surname Mahto was used by Dhanuks, Dusadhs, Goalas, Koeris, Sunris, Tharus, Dhobis, etc."
- Social Change in Village India, page 12: "...one person each from the Bhumihar, Yadava and Beldar groups had been given the status of a Mahto"
- You are removing this content calling it "false" and "fake", but have not provided any reliable sources to support your claim.
- Think of a Punjabi man with surname "Singh", who has never met a non-Punjabi with this surname. Imagine this person edits the article Singh, calling the existing content "false" and "fake", and insisting on removing all the references which state the surname is used by several non-Punjabi groups. This man's edits will be undone in absence of reliable sources that support his claim. That's the case with your edits.
- Please go through WP:TUTORIAL, if you haven't already. I'm not a Brahmin, but anyways, an editor's caste doesn't matter here - what matters is that your changes are verifiable via reliable sources. utcursch | talk 21:22, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

Regarding these edits, you cannot simply cite a reference and add any content. The content should be supported by the reference. In these edits, you claim that the "Mahto" surname is used by "Bhardwaj", "Dwivedi", "Singh", and "Tiwari" castes/communities. First of all, your edit doesn't make sense -- these are surnames not caste and communities. More importantly, the source doesn't support what you are adding. You may be confused by the fact that "Mahato" is sometimes used as a synonym for the Kudumi community. Please note that there is a separate article on Kudumi Mahato; the article Mahto is about a surname, not a particular caste or community. If you want to add any information about the caste, please do so at Kudumi Mahato. utcursch | talk 21:28, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
