{{adminhelp}} When I place a Talk page on Watch, I never get email when someone makes an edit to it. I've checked that my email address works, and there is no email filtering on my account.

The only thing I can think of to add is that when I proxy my HTTP traffic through my mail ISP, Wikipedia won't let me edit articles, saying there's a record of it being an open proxy. It's not a rogue ISP, but the question is does Wikipedia decide using that to not send me email either? That would be overdoing it, I'm a registered user of Wikipedia.

Also, how do I or my ISP get my ISP of off the proxy list? The page that came up simply said it was banned for an indefinite amount of time, and had no details, not even when it when that happened.

What is the purpose in banning an open proxy? Doesn't AOL function like one as far as IP addresses go (you can't tell one person from another via the big AOL proxy machines)?

Adding a page (or a talk page to your watch list does not mean you get an email every time a page changes, it is just listed in your watchlist. I'm not sure there is any easy way to achieve what you are trying to do.

Let me know your IP (you can email it if you like) and I will check if it is still an open proxy. They tend to be blocked for a long time, and it may no longer be open.
