List of names

[edit]

Of the names being listed (and removed), none but Wodenmany don't even appear in the Genealogia Lindisfarorum. Agricolae (talk) 02:57, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please see
  • Stenton, F. M. (Frank Merry), "Lindsey and its Kings", Essays presented to Reginald Lane Poole, 1927, pp. 136-150, reprinted in Preparatory to Anglo-Saxon England: Being the Collected Papers of Frank Merry Stenton : Edited by Doris Mary Stenton, Oxford, 1970, pp. 127-137 [1]

The names in the Genealogia Lindisrarorum are listed and correctly referenced there. Paul Bedsontalk 12:59, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are misreading Stenton. He isn't talking directly about the Genealogia Lindisfarorum, but a genealogy 'inserted into' Vespasion B VI of the Anglian collection. The heading of this is damaged, reading Lind...ar...a. Stenton identifies this with Lindsey by comparison with the Genealogia Lindisfarorum of the Chronicon ex Chronicis. The names he then gives are those in the Vespasion B VI pedigree, not the Gen. Lin.. You can look at the actual Chronicon ex Chronicis pedigree and see that this is the case. Great research, all incorporated into the Ancestry of the kings of Britain, which should be a nice page soon. Paul Bedsontalk 20:31, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
