Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Leif Erikson, you may be blocked from editing. You are presumably the same user as the IP who did the exact same POV pushing an hour ago. Discuss on the talk page but do not add your opinion or claims that are contrary to the sourced info currently on the page. If you want a contrary opinion included, you'll need to provide reliable sources for it. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 09:17, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You need to present FACTS that Leif Erikson discovered Newfoundland in order to claim that I am disrupting.

There are plenty of scholarly sources in the article already. The text you added to the article was not factual but an argumentation, not supported by any source, and containing atatements like "This is absurd" which claarly do not belong in an encyclopedia article. --bonadea contributions talk 09:40, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are presenting something which is false and without backing it up with facts you claim it to be history. I am not vandalizing anything. I'm sorry.
If you want to present a version that is contrary to what is already in the article (with sources! I have no idea what you mean by "backing it up with facts", given that there are multiple reliable sources) you have to a) discuss on the article talk page, b) present reliable sources supporting the text you want to include, and c) write neutrally. Despite several requests, you have done none of these things, but instead reverted back to your preferred version. That is disruptive editing, I'm afraid. --bonadea contributions talk 10:36, 9 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here are some facts. Part of Iceland lies on the American tectonic plate therefore Icelandic people according to you are Americans. Which follows that Ingólfr Arnarson or even the Gaelic monks before him discovered America. Do you see how your reasoning is flawed on so many levels? You need to check your facts. Furthermore, in order for something to qualify as a discovery you need to establish and MAINTAIN a line of communication between 2 continents and that never happened in Newfoundland. Again, stating that Leif Erikson was in Newfoundland is an assumption based on no evidence. There are no reliable records that he was there. Ever. There may have been a few Scandinavian settlers based on excavations who either left not knowing they were in america or perhaps killed by the natives. None of this qualifies Vikings as the ones who discovered modern day America. Therefore, you are vandalizing history and misinterpreting it.
