Bruges/Brugge[edit]

No offence is intended, I just get irritated when told how to use my own language - have a look at the Bruges talk page, where I've tried to prompt a discussion. I'll add our discussion to it, including my riposte (or is that French!). Folks at 137 19:46, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source for the reference to Kate Kennedy and the notion of Gurney's syphilis? I do not see one. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OwenBrooke (talkcontribs) 14:32, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reply; I included the reference, currently number 7. It points to the following link; http://www.musicweb-international.com/classRev/2002/Jun02/Gurney_syphilis.htm My oringinal posting concluded "The article concludes that Gurney did NOT suffer from syphilis." and makes no mention of Kate Kennedy (of whom I have never heard). This final sentence was removed by somebody else. I have now re-inserted it.

This can be calculated as a maximum from the pistons, wheels and boiler pressure, but that's only a theoretical limit. The actual figure will always be lower than that. It also assumes 100% cutoff, which isn't generally used. The rated figure will be using a notched up cutoff. Andy Dingley (talk) 13:09, 23 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
