The article Earliest records of Jainism Found in Harappa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is either an essay or a news report. Either way, both are not appropriate for an encyclopedia (see WP:NOTNEWS and WP:NOTESSAY).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pashupati seal Does not shows seated ithyphallic. It shows animals surrounding a human. All of 24 tirthankararas are associated with 1 animal.For Example Lord Mahavir is associated with Lion, Pasarvnath with snake, Rishab with Bull, Shantinath with Deer. The striking feature is that, there is deer below the seat of human (Exactly this is the way jains put one animal as a symbol below the seat of their Tirthankaras). All tirthankars are shown sitting in lotus position/Yogic Mudra on a seat/throne. All tirthankars are nude but not ithyphallic like shiva. I saw similarities and some mistakes. Therefore i shared my knowledge. I think it is good to have others opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 106.204.213.43 (talk) 00:00, 17 November 2013 (UTC) Jainism teaches tolerance to other religions but it also teaches to stand for truth. Hinduism and Jainism both originated from Indus civilization and both are as old as history can go. So, how can one say that there cannot be (or must not be) any Jain idol or picture in Indus valley? how can one say that there cannot be roots of Jainism in Indian history/Indus valley? Yes , Pashupati is one of the names of shiva. Hinduism is very popular in India. Can any one tell me if, Hindus place a small icon of animal under the seat/throne of Shiva exactly like this in picture?

As far as the name " pashupati seal is concerned, it was given by a british archaeologist. Probably because Hinduism was very popular and Shiva rides on bull. Also because pashupati is one of the names of shiva. But, this is a modern nomenclature, there is no such name as 'pashupati seal' in brahmi language. It is not the name written on the picture. Therefore i am sharing my knowledge of history. dissemination of knowledge is not a crime...why my posts are deleted with bias? Yes I have been to Kathmandu Pashupati Nath temple and i have seen the idol of shiva. It is different !Dr Prashanna Jain Gotani (talk) 00:41, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

I think Lord Shiva is also called as "Adinath Shiva" and he is associated with "OX/Bull" . Many historians have quoted that "pashupati Seal" or " Proto Shiva" is sitting on "buffalo". However, "buffalo" is associated with 'god of Death' or 'Yama' not Shiva.Hence there is mistake while looking at the seal/picture.[5]. In every picture of shiva there is snake in throat,crescent moon, matted hair, sacred ganges, mount kailash, trishul and damru missing in this picture.[6] I think someone should come up and show similar picture of shiva with deer under his seat and other missing features. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to History of Hinduism, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Sources here should be academic and match our criteria at WP:VERIFY and WP:RS. In this case, stating categorically that something is like something, or something doesn't exist, is not the sort of thing we should be writing. Dougweller (talk) 17:43, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please read jain history before deleting my content. my addition of detalis is according to jain scripture and based on clear findings. To dispute ancient history from jain perspective is pure biasness . Please update your knowledge of jain history before deleting my comments. Let others know more about history from jain scripture. Do you have any evidence to prove that everything is "shiva" and everything in india is "hindu" in origin. There are crosslinking. Eg: Ikshwaku vansh is of jain tirthankar Rishab adso mentioned in vedas. His successors were surya vamshi & chandra vamshi than Raghu vamshi than Rama than harish chandra and so on....Please understand deleting my content is mere hiding history from future generation .

Again, you need to provide sources that meet our requirements. I don't think you've read the links I've given you. It's not likely we will change our policies because you think we are hiding history. If there are no reliable sources, it can't be in our article. Dougweller (talk) 18:20, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right. I read those links. Although i am writing out of neutrality, i need reliable source. I will see any online resource for the same. However if you look at ancient/modern images of jain tirthankar with symbol of deer below his seat, you will see that i wrote truth. Moreover you can clearly see difference between bull and a deer. the pashupati seal in your website clearly shows exact figure of deer...so why there is confusion? same seal is 100% symbol of 16th jain tirthankar shantinath too. Please verify my claims. can you trust your eyes, if yes than please see pashupati seal and tell me if it is a bull or deer? If great authors did mistake in seeing things , doesn't mean that we must continue the same mistake. Can we blind ourself if others cannot see?

Also you deleted things which i had not edited. you allowed Rita P. Wright to comment unnecessarily although she is not an expert on jainism or indus valley civilisation. I request you to keep original content till someone puts reliable findings as per your policies. I will keep in mind about your policies of reliable source.

One more thing,all jain texts are not available on net like "agams", you can read on wiki that jain texts like "agams" were written 1000-1500 years back. But nobody has put it online so what to do when so little about jains is available on net? where do i bring reliable source.

Ok ! I m no internet champ. I didnot know about sand box. I just put back same details which i had not edited bcz i thought while deleting my edited text you deleted previously accepted text by mistake. so to keep previous text, i did cut paste from history.

The first section states "There is reasonable allowance for speculation, suggestion, and personal knowledge on talk pages, with a view to prompting further investigation, but it is usually a misuse of a talk page to continue to argue any point that has not met policy requirements." Your edits have reached this point. We absolutely cannot put material in an article based on an editor's interpretation of images, your views or anyone elses. Thus I'm asking you to bring academic sources if you have them or drop this line of discussion. Talk pages are not forums to discuss the article. The second sentence in the lead paragraph clearly states " Article talk pages should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views on a subject." Thanks. Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Bangladesh. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Green Giant (talk) 19:13, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Answer;

Human Rights Of Minority religions like Hindu, Christians, Sikh etc. should also be included as a part of wiki impartiality and neutral point. Kindly provide complete picture of Bangladesh without fear. There should be no hiding of the truth. The onslaught of Hindus by majority of Muslims and inhuman crimes must be discussed openly to bring the truth instead of hiding it . The world knows the truth in either way via human rights commission, Amnesty International etc..Dr Prashanna Jain Gotani (talk) 11:42, 26 December 2013 (UTC) References ;[reply]

Now I ask every genuine person to debate on this issue of truth!

  • To be fair, I think you have either misunderstood the purpose of Wikipedia or we have a language barrier. Wikipedia doesnt perform advocacy for anyone so we cannot fix the worlds problems. I have looked at each of the links you provided and I have written my opinion of them:
  1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Notifications - this is an internal notification system so I don't understand why it is included;
  2. http://www.amnesty.org/en/for-media/press-releases/bangladesh-wave-violent-attacks-against-hindu-minority-2013-03-06 - this article is already cited at Hinduism in Bangladesh#Return to democracy (1991–present), so what do you need to highlight?
  3. https://www.google.co.in/search?q=wiki+bangladesh&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari - this is just a google search for Bangladesh and wiki
  4. http://interfaithstrength.blogspot.in - I refuse to discuss this website because it is a blog, and is unacceptable as a Wikipedia reference per WP:UGC;
  5. http://hinduexistence.org/2013/12/11/islamic-violation-of-human-rights-and-attack-upon-minority-hindus-in-bangladesh-severely-opposed-in-hr-day - this is also a blog;
  6. http://www.hinduhumanrights.info/cgi-sys/suspendedpage.cgi - this is page has been suspended, so we cannot include it;
  7. http://www.hafsite.org/resources/human_rights_report - this page lists some articles but what do you want us to see, can you be more specific?
  8. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_Hindus - what exactly should we be looking for in this article?
  9. http://interfaithstrength.blogspot.in - repeated blog link, see no.4 above
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_American_Foundation - what exactly should we be looking for in this article?
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism_in_Bangladesh - what exactly should we be looking for in this article?
  12. http://www.hrcbm.org - so it's a human rights organisation, but what exactly do you want to highlight?
So in summary, your 12 links are really 6 links, three of which are Wikipedia articles. Maybe we have some misunderstanding but as it stands I cannot see anything of real substance that isn't already covered in Wikipedia articles. Green Giant (talk) 03:39, 27 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
