reg. the Citation page[edit]

Hi Dr Eng X,

You added a citation system to the "citation" entry. It is a bit unclear how it relates to the other systems (Vancouver and parenthetical). Can you, based on a reference manual, complete the example: "The five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance."...

I am not acquainted to the source to the class of systems you refer to, hence I cannot build upon your work. The "citation‐sequence system" you refer to is not mentioned under that name in the entry. Furthermore, I am unsure whether that is an issue of citation per se, or just a means of bibliography formatting, but let's not quibble over that :)

Best regards,

/"Dr. postdeborinite"..

Re: "user pages semi-protected"[edit]

Hello, you asked on User:Connormah's talk page how he keeps his user pages semi-protected. The answer, it is an admin feature where any admin can semi or fully protect a page that is being vandalized. - NeutralhomerTalk • 07:06, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You could ask an admin currently online (note: I am not an admin) or you could request at WP:RFPP and they could take care of that for you. Most of the time though, they only do so when vandalism is ongoing, but some admins will semi-protect on request, just depends on who you ask. - NeutralhomerTalk • 07:47, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you come to my talk page and give me a decent reason, I'll do it. There has to be a reason though.--Wehwalt (talk) 22:59, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Education Program Fall 2012[edit]

Hi, Dr eng x!

I saw you had a userbox that says you're a professor at a university, and I thought you might be interested in participating in the Wikipedia Education Program for the coming term. If you're still teaching a class and would like your students to edit Wikipedia as an assignment, please email me at jmathewson@wikimedia.org to talk more about the program! Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello. I came across this article you started yesterday, and it had been tagged for speedy deletion as A11 - obviously made up. I declined the speedy tag, but seeing that the article did not cite any reliable sources, unlike other similar lists for other fields such as List of unsolved problems in astronomy or List of unsolved problems in economics, and that it had some other problems as well (an essay-like tone for one), I have moved it to draft so you can work on it in peace. Feel free to move it back to mainspace once the sourcing issue is fixed. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:39, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
