Burchard of Worms edits
[edit]Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I'd like to direct your attention to thisWikipedia policy. "For some time" "sometimes is said to originate", even if they appear in many articles here, are not encouraged. If you disagree with the etymology of the word 'brocard', for instance, you will need to reference the change on the article on the term, instead of adding editorial uncertainty about it in other articles. Thanks again for your contributions, some of which I preserved. Jkelly 18:46, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you for your thoughtful comments! You are absolutely right in stressing the importance of careful indicating the arguments and sources when changing information on the origin of a particular concept or word. I had read the statement on editing policy, but nevertheless I inadverently walked into this trap. I will think about the right way to put correct information on the origin of the terminus technicus "brocard". Draconarius 07:56, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
